Rosa Parks didn't end racism. She sat up front at the white section of a bus because she was very tired. Rosa Parks' simple action and her getting arrested for it inspired a lot of black people to boycott the local transit system. Those black people who owned an automobile offered rides around town. The boycott hurt the transit system. Rosa Parks was one of the catalysts that inspired the Civil Rights Movement. The GOP were not informed about Rosa Parks.

I met a guy a couple of years ago who wrote and sung a song called "A Woman Named Rosa." He gave me a CD, which had Rosa's picture in her old age. I listened when I got home. It sounded a lot like Billy Paul's hit song "Me And Mrs. Jones." It was a good production. On the other hand, it sounded like he was very much in love with Rosa Parks. It sounded very sexual. Maybe he thought her simple act of defiance was sexy and he wanted to build around that. And it was supposed to be a gospel song.

most americans in the 1950s said that racism didn't exist.

I forget the poll, but that was the attitude even then.

No surprise. Probably the same in the 1850s. That's the psychology of it
