ohh, okay. thanks for explaining that for me. wasn't sure what the outskirts of Moscow were, but i'll be sure not to go there. i talk to my friends who live there on a daily basis, and i told them that if they're not being my guides 24/7, i'm gonna be pisssed lol. so yeah, it should be cool. they're happy about being my guides when i get there. i was looking at some videos on Youtube, and you know what, it did kind of remind me of a New York a little bit. haha...okay, i'm gonna have to do a little shopping before i get there then, because i'm usually in jeans and a T.

about money...Moscow is pretty expensive city, i guess, u know that. but at the same time, for example food (especially in the stores) is much cheapper than in US. and its all good, its all organic! lol coz we almoust donat have non-organic food! and dont forget to try typical russian food, ok? and dont drink too much russian vodka!!!

yeah, i heard that the food prices are really reasonable there. actually, the only expense i was really concerned about was the lodging. the hotel rates are pretty crazy, but i'm having my friends there look up the most reasonable places that they can find, in an attempt to help me save a little money.

what is the best russian food to try in your opinion? i know "very" little about the cuisine there. by the way, i'll definitely stay away from the russian vodka and the Oxota too! (i'm not sure i spelled that right)

about russian food, I d tell u what I wanna u to try, but i m not sure how that food is named in english...coz u k now, its typical russian words...i think , ur guide will tell u, he knows, i m sure!))) oh, i just found in the internet the american translation of my favorite russian food. its slapjack. do u know what it is?)))))

well, the Oxota is supposed to be some kind of russian beer. i googled it, and this pic came up:

i dunno if that rings a bell or not though lol. hmm...slapjack sounds something like pancakes. what is it made of?

ohhh...haha, well that would explain it then! of course you wouldn't understand it if you don't drink lol. i heard about Blini, which i think are the pancakes you're talking about. they can be filled with jam, or chocolate syrup or anything like that. what else....Borsch, which is some kind of soup?? and Pelmeni, which are something like dumplings i believe.

haha...i'll be honest with ya. the only thing i'm used to eating is pizza, burgers, and fries, so it's definitely gonna be an adventure for me trying all those new foods out there.

hey Bryant, too bad you ain't coming to Estonia instead lol. But as we do have quite some of the same stuff here...I can tell you that Borsch is a soup with peet, other veggies and some meat. Not delicious in my opinion and for someone who's used to eating fries/pizza/hamburgers, I don't think you will like it either.
And pelmenis are dumplings!;D Now those are tasty!

I heard a lot about borscht and I don't want to try it. There is a ick factor to it.

Really...so Estonia and Russia have similar cultures and foods and things like that? forgive me if i seem ignorant...i guess i don't get out much. yeah, i think you're right....when i saw the description of the Borsch soup, i was like....nahhh, i doubt i'll like it lol. so the pelmenis are pretty good then. my mom makes dumplings with chicken sometimes, and i always like it a lot. maybe i will try that, but probably not the Borsch...haha.

and woman, c'mon, i didn't say i wasn't coming. i just said you have to meet me half way lol.

haha..well, i only know as much as they tell me about it. i guess everybody is in agreement here that Borsch is probably not the best tasting thing lol. one thing i'm really excited about is the complete difference in the cultures. living in america can be hard, because you're isolated from the rest of the world, and are generally ignorant about other peoples lifestyles and cultures. it's gonna be fun for me experiencing so much stuff that's different. i can't wait.

and oh yeah, my diet is not the best diet to have lol. pizza, hamburgers, fries, chicken, sub sandwiches, etc... lot's of junk food. I have 3 brothers, and they all eat the same way that i do. maybe it's genetic, maybe it's an american thing. i dunno... haha.

how long were u in the US? what places did u visit?
