i'm one of the few black dudes who can't play basketball, and does not really watch it on tv.. last time i watched a full game on TV, was game one of the NBA champs between the Lakers and the Sixers. The Sixers won and a riot nearly broke out in my neighborhood. And of course, everyone thought their first win, was a precursor to the rest of the series. We beat them at their home, then they whooped our ass for the rest of the series and took the title football, on the other hand...I can get down with that all day. I purchased the NFL/Fox College Sports package, just to watch college and pro ballin' every week
I'm just sad Penn State didn't take the title back when I was there.. They would have cancelled class for the entire following week, with football being as big as it is down in happy valley. I do recall seeing a bunch of coffee mugs and other memorabilia around, with Joe Pa's face on them probably see a shrine dedicated to him when he leaves too
My college football team never did much of anything. Though while I was there, we did have a fairly good player that went on to the NFL, but he never made it big. I don't believe he played very long in the big leagues.
I haven't watched an NBA game since the brawl in Detroit involving Ron Artest making an ass out of himself and the league pretty much let the players do whatever they feel like doing, picking fights with spectators and evloving into me, me, me players. Sorry about being off topic. I don't see Memphis in the Final 4, not with the way it shoots free throws.
UCLA for the win. You already know they're gonna win so there's no need in rooting for the losing teams.
