    Quote from article:

"Michael Steele makes a number of old-time Republicans very nervous," Gingrich said. "He comes out of a different background. He went to seminary ... he's African-American ... But I think he's pretty close to what we need. He's different, he's gutsy and he's going to make a number of Republicans mad."

Black Republican members on WWBM board, can you guys help Mike out?

Oh by the way Mr. Steele, how's that recruitment of more blacks to the republican party going?

I'm not a Republican or Democrat, but I want to offer Mr. Steele this advise to go after Democrat Majority leader Harry Reid over his racist remarks of President Obama being light skin and not speaking that negro dialect for people to vote for him. He needs to highlight the double standards of the Democrats as being racists too.

All so true, but after watching both the Republican and Democrat convention in 2008 and seeing a sea of white faces in the former and many black faces in the latter if I was to chose one of the two parties as a black man . . . guess where I would go.

And heaven help the GOP if the Tea Bagger take over the party.

I guess for Blacks (negroes in spanish) it's a matter of keeping your friends close, but your enemies (Democrats) closer.

Is Michael Steele even constitutionally eligible to be the leader of the RNC?

I have met Chairman Steele and donated to his campaign when he ran for Senate. I believe him to be a very good man and one who is committed to changing the GOP to finally living up to the big tent philosophy. He has had his stumbles so far, however his ascension to Chairman is a positive step in the right direction. Newt is right to a point, he does make some old guard GOP'ers uncomfortable, and I am all for that, change or die GOP, and those like Chairman Steele and myself are at the forefront of that change, working from within.

HowieD,saw Glenn Beck last night when he had that audience of conservative Blacks. Some don't make much sense. When I find a link I will let you. The show was entitled:Time to Be Heard.

    Here an article:

Was this the show where he had Gospel singers BEHIND him? I guess he like to show the "Good Ones" on his show. Remember this show was NOT for blacks but for white conservatives to show a group of black conservatives out there that agree with Beck. He would NEVER show a cross section of various black people from all walks of life on his show.

Didn't he believed that Obama was recruiting blacks as SS men?

I'll look for the information, Soulthinker.

    Thanks.

I like this Mr. Steele. Heard him tell the old guard of his party to "shut". What I like about black conservatives like Mr.Steele is that they tell it like it is, sometime their more liberal black counterparts do not do.

  10. ...even after 'Uncle Tom' Steele used the term "honest injun" recently???

Yes, most speak their mind on how they feel but usually to the liberal or conservative white media on how they pull themselves by the boot straps or how other blacks are irresponsible.

Steele, has a habit of speaking his mind but changing it when he talks to his republican handlers. Both Steele and black conservatives come across as angry.

HowieD,you had found that show. A day or two ago Crazy Beck said the label of African-American does not exist. When I saw that show there were a very small number of Blacks who disagree especially that mayor from Montecello,NY. Those house slaves never know what time it was.

Like when he apologized after saying that Limbaugh is "just an entertainer"? Or when he was snubbed from speaking at the CPAC convention, the one where Limbaugh first said he wanted Obama to fail? Every chairman of the RNC has spoken at that conference except him. Yeah that's tellin' em.

After he allowed Rush Limbaugh to publicly pull his hoe-card, he lost what little respect I had for him.:smt009

I guess you guys subscribe to a "Racism is ok as long as they are a Democrat" policy.

    Sneakeedyck,

There is racism in the Democratic party, but the Republican party do racism sooooooo well. If I try hard enough I can give you Youtube and websites links of racism in the Democratic party though it will take me a couple of hours to find . . . Republican mere seconds.

Need I give you a list?

TS and KC you had shown the best example of racism in the Republican Party. The GOP racism of Blacks is so well known it is not funny. The house slaves who kissed butt all the time can't tell the difference beteen Lott's speech and Reid's comments. Are the GOP would help Blacks? Can Pigs fly jets?
