It does work differently here Robina. A hospital or doctor cannot override the wishes of the next of kin, or duly appointed person, without taking them to court for that right. That doesn't happen very often, though I do recall a few instances where a hospital took a family to court over treatment of a patient, I believe all that I know of were instances in which the family sought not to allow proper treatment and the hospital/doctors disagreed. I'm sure there have probably been cases to the contrary, but I don't know of any specifically.

That sucks about your daughter, I cannot imagine decisions about my child's life being made by someone other than me. That's mortifying.

I dont really blame her for acting like she did - initially she might just have been completely freaked out and scared....
Anyone that has ever dealt with someone with a major head trauma understands that you might have to be forceful with them. Many times they dont even get how injured they are or even that they are injured at all, headtrauma and shock does funny things.

He clearly had no clue how injured he was. She most likely had no choice but to be that forceful to get him to sit down. that is at least how I read the situation.
You cant be loveydovey when someone that is seriously injured is walking around and need to calm down in order to slow down the bleeding or further injury - time is of essence.

I once had a serious car crash on my way to my boyfriends parents, I walked 4 miles with a severe concussion to their house bleeding all over the place but had no clue I was injured at all.
I fought them left and right when they wanted to drive me to a hospital (and according to them, I was very aggressive and had to be wresteled into the car).
I told them I had driven into the ditch, nobody could find the car until the day after - it was in a ravine, 40 feet below the road and it was nicely wedged into broken trees, upside down.. I just didnt get the severity - I still dont remember the accident. I had to stay for 8 days.... I can totally understand that he probably had no clue of his state.

Clearly there was absolutely no chance of recovery or they would not have pulled the plug. I think its very unfair to give her crap. She certainly wasnt a gold digger.

And clearly anyone that takes anyone off life support will feel guilty no matter how right the decission is. hello!
(Some are sitting on very high horses)
I bet you she was adviced by the doctors to do it.

He had her on his will as person in charge in case of this kind of disaster! It had nothing to do with being married or not.

Yeah, this bitch is Saint motherfucking Theresa!!!:smt070

Ya heard she already SOLD Gary Coleman's death bed photos to the tabloids!!?
Say what you want, but her inaction, ( because she was grossed out by the blood),contributed to his death, IMO.
I still think the bitch pushed his midget ass down the stairs!!
    Deal with that.
    Real talk.

Saw the pix in the Globe tabloid yesterday. The same woman who does not want to be near him while he was laying down on the kitchen floor suddenly wanted to have her pix with him at the hospital! She is one total dog.
