I guarantee you, if you call these people out on their hate, they will use those same black friends as an excuse for why they aren't racist.

They think because they have blacks in their social circle that it makes them immune to being seen as a prejudice

Good point. I've heard of things like this before -bashing black men and then claiming that they do not harbor negative or hostile beliefs about black men. But to be fair, it could be based on their personal experiences vice outright racism. For example, I've personally known of a few non-black women who have said negative things abut black men that were based on their poor relationships and treatment they received from black men. It was not hard line Lincoln Rockwell or David Duke racism but more of lashing out because of feelings of betrayal, disappointment and hurt. Not trying to justify racist comments but attempting to introduce other explanations and possibilities....

Great post. I sympathize with it. Just because a person is x race doesn't mean they make better relationship partners than someone else of x race. The probability of dysfunction in the relationship is the same, regardless of who is in a relationship with who. That's why it's probably right for me to assume that's there's no real advantage if you are in an interracial relationship or an intraracial relationship.

I have to chime in here and say, the Middle Eastern girls I know have no problem with black men, but then those are the ones that moved here to the US.

Nope. Dont wanna be friends with women who are racist. I remember one white woman who was making disparaging remarks about African Americans and when i remonstrated to her she said i was different because i was African British but i stood my ground and told her Black is Black period.
