O'Reilly made good points? The fuck are you smoking? He refused to address the direct comparison between Common and all of the white rock musicians that Stewart listed who were invited to the White House in spite of being "guilty" of the same sort of undesirable behavior that Fox News is accusing Common of. This whole thing is a ginned up, coordinated on Obama by the Republican party. They tried to paint Common as some sort of militant, angry negro in order to scare all of the old racist blue hairs in the Republican base. Fact is that this is a total non-issue. All sorts of people get invited to the White House for these bullshit state events and photo ops, and usually, nobody gives a shit. Man, they I can't believe that they got people buggin' out over a poetry reading. Shouldn't be surprising though. This is that same crowd that attacked Obama for the way that he eats his hamburgers. I think Common should be afforded the same courtesy as Bono and Bob Dylan, as Jon Stewart pointed out. They are both "guilty" of the same thing as Common and that is defending someone who they believed was wrongly convicted. No one cries if they get an invite, particularly not Foxnews. Foxnews sucks. JMHO. :smt043
George Bush invited Eazy-E to the white house, and he actually advocated violence against innocents in his songs. Fox News didn't mention that
I completely agree its a non issue. I looked at it from both perspectives and could see where O'Reilly was coming from (on certain points). Common sticking up for cop killers(and visiting them for that matter) DOES LOOK BAD, theres no doubt about it and thats where I can see O'Reilly's point.
Iggy slow down kid. His entire arguement was based on who you associate with yourself with and not a fucking thing has ever been said about Bush being business partners with members of the Bin Ladin family. O'Reilly is a fucking racist dick wad
Says you and a few conservative liars. He's not the only one who has questions about their guilt. Brother didn't stick up for cop killing but rather those INDIVIDUALS.
Common believes Shakur was unjustly convicted. So to him he isn't supporting a "cop killer" but someone who was wronged.
