Interesting thread, and some very insightful answers.

The only way I would want to be immortal is if my daughter could also be immortal.

Nothing would suck more than watching my child age and die. Like in that Age of Adeline movie where you have to come up with an elaborate lie so people don't realize that you are immortal, or in that crappy Interstellar movie where Matthew McConaughey finally gets back to Earth only for his daughter to be 100 years old and on the verge of death. No thanks.

And I would never agree to be immortal if the stipulation was I would have to "disappear" from my loved ones (like my daughter).

But, given this is just supposed to be a fun thread, I'll play along.

I don't know that I'd want to be immortal. But if I could live to be like 150-200 years old (and look like I'm 30) then that would be awesome.

I would want my age to "stop" at 30 because like someone else said: you're still young enough and in your prime, but old enough that people start taking you more seriously.

As to Ra's question: if I lived a couple of hundred years, I would absolutely pass my knowledge on as much as I could.

Just think about living hundreds of years - you could choose & experience different cultures, live anywhere and everywhere, learn an unbelievable amount of languages, truly experience EVERYTHING the world has to offer and then some - it would be an unbelievable experience.
