Read the thread "Ya'll would be proud of me" that was the asshole I was talking about. He tried to contact me today.

 

Been gone from Memphis for almost a year. Thank God! Not a great place to live. As for places to go out....very few? I lived in Midtown. Boscos is a nice bar for drinking, and it has a nice patio.

My favorite place was Spindini down on South Main. A very mixed and upscale crowd on most weekends. Lot of well dressed, professionals from all ends of the spectrum.

BB Kings on Beale can sometimes be touristy, but it does have an older clientele base and the music is great.

The bar/restaurant on the corner in Cooper-Young Cafe Ole' draws a good crowd on Monday nights during the summer for Margarita Mondays.

Directly across the street at Dish, there are great DJs, but Dish often draw a large gay crowd too.

Summertime is also great for the rooftops. Madison Hotel Downtown on Thursdays usually has jazz and draws a mixed professional crowd.

Best mostly black joints were both in the SE section of town:

Silver Spoon on Mt. Moriah. Primarily a dance club, but they serve some food, great appetizers.

And my other favorite Round One on Winchester. Not a club, but a high end restaurant lounge. Nice circular bar with flat screens and always a well dressed upscale crowd.

Fire and Ice in the SE is another decent spot.

Thanks Trojanman, I like Bosco's too. I first posted this in January, well the past few months I've had no problem meeting nice guys. It's quite the opposite. Yeah Blue has had lots of fun the last couple months. Some are just friends & we text back & forth.

is it safe to date Interracially in Memphis these days? I have been to the deep south for awhile now and so i dont know what has changed.

 

Memphis itself has to be damn near 70% black, 85% Hood, and 97.25% corrupt...Collierville, Germantown, Cordova...more suburban and White.

To answer your question, yes I think it's safe to date Interracially in Memphis. For some reason there seems to be more Older WMBW in Memphis.

 

I seem to see more young IR couples. From teens to late 30's early 40's. But then depends on your version of older couples. To me it's like 50's & 60's.

 

When I say more, I'm meaning more common than a lot of other places, not more common than other ages. By older, I mean mid to late 40's and older white men with younger black women.

 

I didn't notice you said WMBW. You're right they do tend to be older couples alot.
