Then disagree with me, kind sir. I was just stating who I would like to see erased from Black History. I'm not trying to erase him out of your mind. I just think that he further enforced negative stereotypes about black men in the 1910's. The Galveston Giant was still a beast in the ring.
We agree to disagree then, sir, but I noticed you glossed over my points. I think J.J. was an invaluable part of our history. We had to have him to get to where we are now. If people didn't push the limits, we wouldn't know where they were.
the DC sniper needs to stay . we needed a first serial killer so we can be on the equality list along with the atlanta guy in the 80's but that was a questionable conviction
I am with Karma on this one, keep the Galveston Giant, the basis for the movie The Great White Hope in the books. Talk about white ppl looking for the great white hope in 1915, that tells you something about Jack Jhonson THE MAN!
barrack obama, but then we could only do half of him. and myself because i will be opposed for saying that
you can say that again...it's clear that many don't have a grasp on what history really means...history is not what is on the radio right now...it's not what cds you play in your car...we have another thread on the killer of malcolm X on the forum being released from prison...the sad thing is that if you took a poll many kids and young adults today would not know the impact that malcolm X made and could have made had he not been killed...the book on malkom X should be required reading...this country believes that it is enough if we celebrate MLK day...it's like the token black holiday...black history month is a joke...smdh:-|
Yeah, there should probably be a day named after him to commemorate his work, right? You know what, I'm just gonna ignore all your other threads, as if I've never read them and assume you're just joking with this one right here. It was a joke, right?
