Lol...no worries. At least it was clear what you meant. ;)

IMO the way they handled it was a form of cruel & unusual punishment. Not paying a $75 tax does not warrant letting someone's home burn to the ground; the punishment definitely didn't fit the "crime".

I also think billing them for the $75 after putting out the fire would've been the right (& most logical) thing to do. Nothing positive can come from the way they handled it, & I think they deserve to be despised for being so cruel. It's clear that they have no true concern for the citizens of their community.

Didn't you get the memo? Common sense and simple compassion are no longer valued in America. Fuck 'em all as long as I get mine is the mantra so getting the fee after doing what would be considered the right thing by putting out the fire would be wrong.....:smt018

Is that suppose to offend me or something? Why don't you just use the word "nigger" and be done with it already otherwise don't bother with this weak and childish shit because someone post something you don't like or agree with. Thank You in advance. SMH.

Your analogy is far from logical. If you insist on using car insurance, the appropriate analogy would be that you made the payment, but made a mistake and was $.05 short of having made the correct payment. Then, you had an accident and they refused to cover you because, you didn't make the payment after all. That would be the comparison.

How about this one. You had a payment in hand for your monthly premium but you were late mailing it and you could only meet the deadline by going into a local office. You called ahead to let them know that you were coming. You get to the office and leave the car running on a busy street because the office will close in five minutes. As you get to the door, the car jumps into gear and takes off. The office manager can envision that an accident is about to occur and they lock the door and count down the five minutes until the office is closed. The car is totaled and innocent bystanders are injured. They could've let you in, but they didn't want to cover the cost of the liability and it would send a message that you shouldn't wait until the last minute to pay your insurance, because they want to collect premiums sooner than later.

To hell with the memo. I prefer common sense & compassion to the "fuck 'em all as long as I get mine" mentality. Putting money & power before people is a huge part of why America is in the sad shape it is.

I disagree. If these folks really gave a shit about their house & belongings, they would of paid a simple little 75 dollar fee. Its their own fault.

I think they did their jobs quite well. I'm glad they didn't boot them from their home, & that plenty of folks showed them their support.

Yeah, there's really no point arguing with a brick wall. :p

They damn well knew the policy. They took a stupid costly risk. If they just would of paid the 75 dollars, all would be well. smdh at some people.

Yeah. You're right. What was I thinking? No similarities at all. Pay what you owe and everything is all good otherwise pay the consequences of your actions. Personal responsibility remember? Only this time people used common sense and compassion...

Maybe they can't afford it. Times is rough bruh, $75 might mean $75 to some family.
