 I must say that NBC is doing the damn thang with the IR stuff on shows like Friday Night Lights, My Name Is Earl, and Heroes where they've had a black woman with two boyfriends of different races; but now they'll be bringing on the black husband (Leonard Roberts from DRUMLINE) of the fine blonde (ALi Larter from LEGALLY BLONDE) who has a very DARK  alter ego as well as a mixed son :!: After the marathon last night they threw in some great preivews of upcoming episodes including showing the two of them in bed. The series really looks like it's heating up with all types of stuff going on so check it out and here are a couple of pics for you all. 8) Links: http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/ http://www.heroes-forum.com/index.php?showtopic=1108
It just occured to me that NBC is the one major network featuring so many IR couples in several of it's shows.
From what I seen she was whooping his ass. Maybe that was foreplay, but good lawd they looked like they was fighting.
I've taken notice to Ali Larter ever since her infamous "whip cream bikini" in the movie Varsity Blues. Funny that you posted this thread because when I signed onto yahoo this morning the homepage had a picture of Ali in an advertisment for the show "Heroes" and as I was looking at her I was thinking, "damn, she's cute; I can't see her doing IR in Hollywood though."
Im glad someone else too realises that the closest IR would get portrayal; albeit a positive one, is on the small screen.
 Probably mad 'cause two of his boys are dead while he's been missing and left her & their kid in danger from a mobster. :? Well she's getting ready to do the DO with a bro on the small screen plus kick some ass too I guess.
 Just found out that our soul brotha (DL Hawkins on the show) has some kind of phase shifting power as well and supposedly is on the "good guy" side too. Another link: http://forums.nightly.net/Heroes-f72.html
You know what i noticed noble...i notice that this guy, Leonard Roberts, actually is cast for a lot of interracial roles from what i've seen. Maybe Hollywood is still a little uncomfortable with the idea, but he's evidence that there are a select few black men that they prefer to cast for these particular roles. I know that Mekkhi Phifer is another. I'm sure that i can think of a few more, but that's just something that i noticed.
With Hollywood knowing that Taye Diggs is married IR-ly, they seem to "prefer" casting him as a BM involved in an IR for a show/movie.
Yeah, you're exactly right SoCal. Taye Diggs is another black guy that they prefer casting for those roles. Outside of the guys that they have in their little black book for playing roles in IR (which are probably less than ten...lol), if you're a black actor whose aspiring to do IR on screen, you might as well fuggetaboutit.
 Don't know about that because it is getting better ever so slightly and it seems TV is leading the way with every week familiarity of the roles you tend to build a fan base and folks get more use to it as well. PS>Also, what other IR roles has Leonard had :?:
Not since having Nat King Cole in the 50's does NBC bring IR to TV. They are pioneers starting with Harry Belefonte and Petula Clark singing together in the 60's along with the Star Trek episode when Kirk kissed Uhrura.
 Yeah they're showing me that they're ahead of the game for real with ABC trying somewhat & CBS not really in the game except for Blair Underwood being on "The New Adventures of Old Christine" sometimes.
 It's supposed to be but I don't get a chance to see it. Blair has a recurring role on it & Julia-Louise Dreyfus won an EMMY this year for her role as Christine.
In Old Christine it is mostly flirtacious and not serious. I doubt Blair U would had a soul kiss with Christine.
They showed that episode with her husband on the "heroes" show yesterday. Turns they are going to be enemies more than anything. They were in bed together(NO KISSING) but nothing special.
