When will the war against black men ever end? Wonder how many have been murdered this year so far? Any takers.

 

It is said he was stopped for walking in the middle of the street. just plain out bull.

 

Voting rarely means shit. When was the last time that getting a person of color in the office actually improved conditions for 'their people'? We can vote a black man / woman into office, but politics does not begin and end on election day. We need to be far more ingrained in the political process than simple elections.

For someone who claims to be a moderate & says anyone would be a fool to trust either of the political parties you sure do love to conveniently leave out conservatives and their fuckery in your rants.

 

This is not about race or politics. It is about the role of law enforcement and their role in community policing. What is missing is for the police to undergo sensitivity and diversity training. Here is a good example:

Back in the 90's, police in Jacksonville, Florida, entered an apartment complex dressed in black and armed to the teeth. Their objective; a raid on an apartment that was a crack house. The police went in and apprehended the drug dealers, cleared the apartment of all drugs and paraphernalia. The raid was witness by the children who were playing outside that day. The police left the apartment complex. The children continued to play. A few hours later, the police came back. But dressed in civilian clothes. They joined the children and played with them. These cops were both black and white and the children were all black. At the end, the officers gave them card to contact them. And the message for the children was ; "We are your friends. Not the drug dealers."
This raid made the evening news and it was good news.


The Missouri Highway Patrol Captain is doing his best to maintain the peace and walk with protesters instead of using deadly force against them. He didn't talk about politics, he was keeping the peace. That was and still is his duty. The politicians have something to think about. They have to leave out the paranoia and racial/ ideological hype. Gun stores are selling guns left and right because regular law abiding citizens are afraid.

And to the issue of militarizing police departments, this situation started after the North Hollywood bank robbery and shootout. L.A.P.D. was not equipped to handle the weaponry that the three men had. They were armored. I saw the video of the incident and was shocked. Now police are worried about gang members who are serving in the U.S. military. Gang Bangers(Bloods, Crips, Neo Nazi Skinheads, Latin Kings, etc) using their skills learned in the military to bring to the streets when they have completed their service(even those who even continued). It is a problem with the recruitment centers who were pressured to meet government quotas and it has been going on for years.

 

Okay...Why is that a problem for you?? And don't say it isn't, because you're the person that always brings in political leanings into conversations in one form or another even when they are not political discussions. A true Moderate leaning person wouldn't give a fuck if the were more "DEMS" or not.
