If u scroll down to the comments section in IMDB, a poster asks why does this flick have a Afr-Am guy and a Latina in the leads instead of a Latino actor. That was J-Lo's and the director's call....but, the flick's prolly trying for street cred over political correctness. BTW, the flick was shot in PR, where there's lots of Black puerto ricans. J.Lo also had an 1940s IR flick about mixed race clubs and the singers that play in them it was called Little darlings with nicole kidman, and she was suppose to be stariing in it alongside nicole. Don't know what happened. Do you know Kid?
Like a lot of interesting projects....they just die. I can't explain it. Nicole Kidman should definitely do an IR flick, particularly cause she was once engaged to Lenny Kravitz...and she (w/ Tom Cruise) adopted a biracial boy. The Kid Rasta 8)
Yeah I don't get why her (nicole kidman) IR projects are not materializing because I just read she signed back on if you go to imdb.com to "Emma's War" last year but still aint shot it yet.
