Oh I completely understand. I email with a couple of friends pretty much every day and we're always saying, "email strikes again!"

I'm extremely tired. :( It's 4:30 a.m. here. I'm heading to bed. I'm too tired to think through your post. I'll address it when I wake up. :D

My brain is not functioning well at the moment. I think I'm getting sick :( or maybe I'm still a wee bit hungover from last night. :smt042

Anyway, I haven't forgotten about your post. I'll get to it tomorrow or the next day. :D

As for the original topic, I'll admit that I wish I could be immortal. I don't want to miss out on anything. LOL.

I do hope that I don't die before my daughter is old enough to take care of herself. While her dad has really stepped up to be a better parent to her now that we aren't with him anymore, he doesn't value education and he doesn't really take an active role in parenting his son or in parenting our daughter.

So I worry about death in that aspect.

I try not to think about it too much, because it is inevitable and really, when your number is up, there's not much you can do about it. So, I just try to live the best I can and take advantage of opportunities that come my way so that when I die, I can hopefully die knowing that I experienced quite a bit in my life. :smt023

Here's my dr phil moment between commercial breaks: If that's what you've surrounded yourself with GZ yes that can easily be the perception. I've seen enough of that to know that I can't become absorbed by it, I need to do what makes me happy (fun, school, etc). That way I can see beyond the torture, trauma and anguish. If you need an invite to remove yourself from that for a little while, come on down to the Carib, we'll get FG, Van, Mama and the D&D team to help you unwind!

"After all, to the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure"

Even though he is a fictional character, I always take comfort in this quote.

I think so. When you are dead, you won't know or care that you are dead.

My only concern is what will happen to me after this life.. I want to see God and the rest of my family again.

I don't worry about death much anymore ever since I signed the paper with Alcor two years ago, if something happens to me, the team will be there to bring me to Arizona to proceed me to be frozen.

Granted, Death is inevitable, but I got the feeling that in the future, death will be becomes thing in the past, I believe. More and More people will live longer past 100 or 200 years old. It would be nice if I spend more time with my family here on the earth.

To that respect, I don't want go to heaven, not yet, not until my mission's done in the universe around here to help humanity to grow up to be more mature than we are today. We're the eldest humanity of existence ever to roam in the universe. Eventually, humanity will evolve into supreme beings in the far, far, far future.

But it's inevitable that humans and robots will be merge together to becoming one, and memories would be last thousand of years, too bad that we can't be like transformers!

I, for one, don't want to be merge myself with robot in the future. I'd rather to be remain human and find the way to evolve into supreme being to live forever rather than have no emotions, you know?

So, no, I don't fear death, not anymore. I'm going to make sure that I get to live longer to past 100..even 200 years old with more advanced technology that could cure aging once and for all! That would be wonderful, don't you agree?

No. I don't think I'd want to live forever anyway, I'd get bored and I'd probably have a rubbish quality of life at an older age. Quite comfortable with becoming a nice part of the nitrogen cycle.

I respect you. Universe is so full of life, I don't think it would be that boring. Explore every inches of the universe is fun, some centuries ago, we humans, used to think that earth is center of the universe, but turns out that earth is not center of the universe.

That's why we should explore and colonize the planets out there, if we explore there, there's greater chance that our age would be double up to 2,000 years old, it's true!!! Research that yourself and you will find out that you have the chance to live that longer. It's understandable that you don't want to live forever.

But why are you comfortable with the idea of becoming a part of the nitrogen cycle? Just asking, that's all. No harm done to ask that question.

Unless we create some kind of technology to extend our lives 'unnaturally', I don't think a time will ever come when most people make it past 120 based on a healthy lifestyle and genetics alone.

Uh, um, Last week one elder man is living now at the ripe age of about 130 years old, I believed so. He's still going on so strong and enjoying his life, he show his secret on how to live longer, so I'm going to do it. I really want to meet great-great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandnephew and grandniece, you know?

There is no one alive who is undisputedly 130 years old (ie. can provide birth certificate or some kind of evidence for being 130). If I'm not mistaken, the oldest person ever who could prove her age was 122.

I hope you meet your great X 3 grandchildren though. More and more people are making it to 100.

Me too, Afrolove. I'd love to meet them and tell them story about good old days that I once lived in that golden age.
