In my opinion, yes. Women want to be recognized for their status, but looks come first when it comes to landing a man. That's how she's judged. I mean her accomplishments are secondary.

 

I think this paradigm is shifting, and has been for the last several years. I see it a lot in NYC where lots of women do put accomplishments even before relationships during their 20s/ early thirties.

 

Yeah, I agree.

A woman who's established and average looking, isn't going to attract a lot of men off of her status. Now a man in the same predicament, will have more opportunities at attracting women than said woman.

 

They want equal rights not equal treatment. There's a difference.
