Yeah, Geminis are the chameleons of the zodiac, but Pisces moreso, heh. Okay, no more that's it. Back to Fantasy books/movies like Booky said!
I liked that Avatar movie. All the pretty colors and stuff, heh. Everyone I was watching it with (my family) were all complaining that it was a "stoner" movie.
I don't know about that. :smt042 My friend, who is a pisces, is as predictable as they come and cannot handle change very well and regularly needs to be "talked off a ledge" if she gets put under any kind of stress.
It's funny, my Gemini always talks about how I'm so predictable. Psht! We're still chameleons. I wonder if she can't handle change very well because she's got an Ascendant or Moon sign that is a Fixed sign (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius). That could explain it.
Not sure. I've known her for 10 years and have never known her to be able to step up to the plate when she needs to. If we were among the survivors of a post-apocalyptic world, there's no way I'd allow her to lead me. She'd be following me. LOL.
Pisces are very evasive. Not leaders either, we're followers, submissive, passive. Our natures are more placid. We're not wusses though, oh no, heh. We're just very subtle. Deceptively. We know what we're doing
LOL! I've had to talk my friend off of a ledge so to speak on too many occasions to believe that to be true.
LOL! Have I become a pain in your butt yet? Seriously, I enjoy reading up on astrology, because it's fun and there are some truths to it, but you can't base your entire knowledge of a person strictly on their zodiac sign. Because as with anything, there are always exceptions. For one person you can find who matches their zodiac sign to a "T", I can find someone who is the polar opposite of their sign. It's just the way it is.... Not everyone fits the mold of their zodiac sign, nor should they. Everyone is their own unique person with their own unique history that made them who they are at this particular moment in time....astrology can only take you so far. :smt023
Well I love both fantasy and sci fi. I love the harry potter series I was said to see it end but it was very well. This summer I've read Gone by Micahel Grant and the Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott as well as Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter by Seth Graham all oretty good books. Anyone into sci fi or fantasy should check them out. As Espy said I'm a huge Supernatural fan, the writing is phenomonal. The episode where they had Dean talking to death this season was one of the best acting jobs I've ever seen on tv. I also enjoy Legend of the Seeker and Merlin. Two of the best fantasy televison dramas since hercules and xena, very well done. I would like to see some fantasy with more black people in it though. Like in lotr there isn't one black character and the arguement I always here is that all of it is based on European lore and I always say that's bullshit. Its in the land of make believe so just make up what you want. It forces me to write my own stuff even though its not very good I'm hoping myself or someone else can make a great fantasy where a black person can be the main protagonist. I'm also a huge Star Wars fan but unfortunately black people don't seem to make it to the future either lol.
Yeah, plus there's so much more than the Sun Sign too, that's only the tip of the iceberg, plus all kinds of other stuff like upbringing and environmental factors, etc. I'm a firm believer that how much someone believes in it depends on how much they know about it. One of my favorite things to do when people give me crap about it is to quote the words of Sir Isaac Newton (especially if the person doesn't believe in it because they're the "scientific" type): When comet discoverer Sir Edmund Halley questioned the belief in Astrology of Sir Isaac Newton, Sir Isaac reputedly replied: "I have studied these things; you have not!"
Right. I understand it more than you think I do. :-D But like the bolded part, no astrologer can be right on with every person born under every sign, for that reason.
Wow espy, we really think alike! Frodo is nothing without Sam, really And yes, Harry should have had ink-jet black hair and bright green eyes and his hair is supposed to be all crazy and stuff. In the 4th movie it looks like he is one of the Gallgher (OASIS) brothers... and Hermione shouldn't be blonde. And Sirius should be hotter... and Luna should be uglier. LOL! I think the only ones that really resemble the movie are the Weasleys. Yes, HP last movies were good for special effects but they stray too much from the books. The fact is that I think they would have needed at least 4 hours to make the movies more similar to the books. There are some little things that should have put and some other big lacks... I think they should have done the "passionate HP lover" version of the movies. 4 hours each I'll have to change the name of this thread in "Astology - what pisces and geminis really want".
