I love fantasy stuff!!! I'm a total nerd.

Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Hobbit...those are some of my favorites! I prefer the books to the movies, though, but I enjoy both. I just recently finally got to read the last Harry Potter book, it was awesome!!!!

I dunno what it is about the fantasy genre that draws me. I've always been interested in that sort of thing. When I was a kid the Hobbit cartoon and Flight of the Dragons (another great 80s fantasy animated flick) were my two favorite movies, other than Nightmare on Elm Street. I was a strange child. *L*

But come on, I go to Renaissance Faires. Of course I love fantasy stuff :D

Fantasy films yes, the books I don't read.

Guillermo del Toro, in my opinion, is the best filmmaker in the fantasy genre. Pan's Labyrinth is a wonderful film. I also have fond memories of The Neverending Story.

Oh, Pan's Labyrinth was absolutely amazing! And I completely forgot the Neverending Story...I used to love that one as well. The sequels they made weren't nearly as good, though

Terry pratchett! yey! His fantasy/satire is completely abfab:D.
I've read all the harry potter books, i think twice? I like them against my own will actually. Swallowed the lot in a week and then re-read it all (do I have to mention I was procrastinating a hand-in for uni?).

As for movies, I enjoy quite a lot of fantasy a lot, mostly because it's perfect on a hung over sunday afternoon.

I can't stand fantasy because I lose interest too quickly.

It has to be either non-fiction or based on a true story.

I have all the Harry Potter books in italian and english and I think I read everything 3-4 times in total. The movies r good, I started reading the books after watching the first movie, and the books r much better.
I read the Lord of the Rings 5 times. Once a year, like a therapy :). The Hobbit is freaking great. The movies r very cute, but the book is always better, I think. Tolkien was a great writer. In the Lothlorien's part it's like I am INTO the book, the description is so perfect. Great.
I bought Tolkien's "The Silmarillion" also, but it's quite boring. I know that I will manage to read it one day though.
The neverending story... I didn't like it. I stopped after a while because I got bored.... it's really.... neverending!!!!!
Be back with some more names, gotta check the titles in english :)

I read The Hobbit in 3 days. I loved it. And that is actually fast for me!

I made sure to read all 3 LOTR books before the first movie came out. I loved the books. Though they were amazingly detailed. I have no idea how Tolkien kept it all straight. And I absolutely love the movies and would bow down to Peter Jackson if I were to ever meet him. LOL. I don't think many directors could have pulled off those stories as eloquently as he did.

And the Harry Potter books and movies I love!! :D
