Family of UK teen killed by American refuses ambush meeting with killer set up by Trump

If you don't know anything about this case, this couple's son was killed in a hit-and-run accident by an American woman who is the wife of a US government official, and she used diplomatic immunity to flee from the UK before she could be charged.

The Dunn family has been pleading with Trump to get her back to the UK.

Trump honestly thought that they would agree to forgive her for a photo op if he "surprised" them with her presence in front of the White House press corps during a staged visit.

Along with Atatiana Jefferson's father, this is another illustration of the more natural reaction that people have when a family member is killed by a person who isn't likely to be properly punished for it. I'm assuming that Trump was inspired to pull this stunt by the nonsense that happened at the end of the Guyger trial. This is further illustration of how aberrant the behavior of the Jean family was.

Sorry for these couple's loss, but Trump clearly isn't going to revoke the diplomatic immunity of the person responsible for their son's death.
