If I wanted a FB friend I wanted the person to respond. If the person does not respond I would not put that person as a "friend".

I never could get into facebook like everyone else have. I finally added a couple people who made it more interesting for me, but right now I barely even log in. Like a couple have wrote, its a nice way to get in contact with some people who I haven't been in contact with for a while.

To answer your question though, it depends on who you add. It could be boring to you or it could be very entertaining & fun.

I was looking at my son's profile and saw this:

"Studied at The Derek Zoolander Institute For Kids Who Can't Read Good and Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Good Too"

So many people miss the best part of FB - the groups!! I said it before. If you like this kind of banter, you can find more of it on FB. The format isn't as easy, but that's what makes FB worth it to me. Plus, I keep up on current events and stuff that friends post. And the memes...Some days it's worth it just for the memes!

I got a friends request by an African guy the other day and was wondering how he came accross my profile.

I'm in some facebook groups but I checked his profile and we don't have any common interests/groups.
We don't have any common friends either, so I asked him how he found my profile.

    His answer:

    Frm real talk
    White woman for black men

Anyone got a clue what that's supposed to mean???
That someone told him about me who is on this site and knows my Facebook account?
Or is Facebook now selling data from female profiles to dating sites?
    I'm confused.
Do things like that happen to any of you other ladies?

He's not talking about this forum. That's a Facebook group. But you're not a member. I looked. I get requests from African guys, too. Not sure how they get my name. I just delete and block, if necessary.

He was polite but I'm not interested in such kind of "friendship".
But today I got a really interesting friend request. Remember the guy from the rock concert last summer I told you about? I have no clue how he found me because he doesn't have my email and I didn't tell him my last name. He somehow found me and sent me a friend request today :D

Does he have your number? I've found people pop up in my page once people have given me their phone numbers.

Nice! Maybe he did a photo recognition search.

No, I think it's quite cute that he was looking for me. I will quote the offspring: he is "pretty fly for a white guy" ;)

Yes, we exchanged numbers back then but never met again because I backed out more or less.
I'm actually a little flattered that he is still thinking about me :smt053
