Whatchutalking about? You don't have to send friend requests or find people to send friends requests. Not sure what you miss understood. You don't have to do shit on Feb if you don't want to. Keep 2 friends, or 500. I love it , mostly because I can keep up with friends and family in Sweden that are 9h ahead. If you have something to share, like when I redid my kitchen, I don't have tee send people photos, they can find them on my page. I love it.

Like 4th said, or is what you make it to be. I ignore a lot of stuff but I found a lot of old friends and keep up with friends and family. Gotta ignore the habitual whiner, obsessive food posters etc. It also awesome to find out if they are tea baggers and need not to be friends etc. Lol.

Twitter on the other hand, I don't understand. Or Instagram. Not my thing.

I had a Twitter account for years but I never had anything worthwhile to say (like 99% of all Twitter users) so I got rid of it. I don't miss it at all and the only thing that it seems to be good for is getting famous people in trouble. As for Instagram...well everyone likes pictures lol.

Guilty as charged. Along with stream of conscious profanity-laced rants whenever my team shits the bed :smt043

As long as they crack me up I'm okay with running commentary. My feed is full of fellow fans of Georgia sports teams so we laugh in order to keep from crying lol.

I like to share photos I take, and sometimes it's good to have contact with people who are milions miles away :) One of my friends hate facebook and says that it's just one more thing to spy you, but I never put things I would be sorry about later.. Don't look at things that complicated.. Or maybe I just have addiction to posting something..

Thanks for the input, everyone! It's much appreciated. :D

It does sound like I might enjoy having a facebook account. Although I'm particular about what (& with whom) I share, it sounds like it could be interesting.

Things that have always put me off the idea in the past were what I'd hear from others about the over-sharing, baiting, meals, drama, etc. I remember hearing about my sister-in-law posting all of their embarassing Jerry Springer level business and sex life details on there. People like her and most of my family members would not be folks I'd want anything to do with on there. The only family member I'd have on mine is my son.

Shirtless Fridays, spying on Since, keeping in touch with far away friends, the groups, discussions, and the buying/selling features all sound like great reasons to set up an account.

There are online yard sale/buy and sell groups. And if you collect stuff, you can join groups that you can buy within the groups.

Once you decide to make that leap, you know where to find me! :freehug:

As for everything else, you can control how much of a person's status updates that you see in your feed. If someone is too annoying/personal/spammy you can always hide them from popping up in your feed. I've had to do this to a number of people over the years, mainly during election season.

You can also change your privacy settings so that people in your friends list won't see everything you post. You can have separate groups for friends, family, coworkers, etc. It makes it a lot less stressful than having worry about whether someone can see a certain post or not.
