I confused her because she stood out in my memory for this very reason: After her Ferguson comment, a conservative radio station set up an interview to basically take her to task.

So in the beginning, everyone was weary of her, but by the middle and end of the interview, she had the host and the callers eating out of her hand.. They became fans and the host invited her back and there was an after discussion how not to judge books by covers...it was a really awesome interview because she won her toughest critics over.

I have heard of Mia Love in passing in the media, but don't know her politics.

The kid can be FAIRLY criticized, but remember, he is still young and shaping views and mindsets (like Nadal did), so whatever you have to say about him, his work effort, tenacity, enthusiasm, etc, is outstanding and inspiring to other kids, and even adults, no? He inspires me. :D

Good for you. Personally he saddens me aligning himself with people who don't see his humanity let alone his citizenship. And being tenacious and enthusiastic is all well and good but we wouldn't applaud a drug dealer for the same traits. At least they have the decency to give the people what they want. And don't get me wrong individual conservatives aren't all bad, imo a little misguided but not bad people. But people have an incredibly short people, this is the party that wanted to take a woman's right to choose, the party who shut down the government to make a point, the party who road blocks damn near all efforts towards progress. The dems are far from perfect but at the very least they are progressive, what are conservatives doing for the people they represent let alone the entire Republic?

He's young and has to learn the hard way apparently just hope it doesn't sting too bad and doesn't deter him from politics.

Drug dealers? You call them decent for giving the people what they want now? Knock it off. God you can be so depressing sometimes. (alot).where is this kid not recognized as a citizen? What are you on about? Who told uou the republicans shut down the govt...it was a 2 way street with both parties at loggerheads contributing to that mess. The Govt didnt 'shut down' either, the country didnt stop, stop exagerating. Conservatives want to take a woman's right to choose and dems want late term anortions. Both wrong, IMO. Dems send jobs overseas, who lied to you. Clinton approved NAFTA, he could have abolished the plan...Obama resigned the Patriot Act, he has cowtowed to corporate interests..the list is long. Neither is better thsn the other, sorry. We need a 3rd party option...As for CJ, l support him...you never know what more great things this kid can acomplish.

At least we know what drug dealers are and they provide adults with substances they want. And with far less side effects and addiction problems associated with "legal" drugs.
Really neither is better? Then are definitely not paying attention at all. And tell those that had to go through furloughs that the government didn't shut down. This false equivilency nonsense has to stop. I'll say it again the dems are definitely not perfect but in comparison they at least support social programs that feed and educate people. The arcane austerity measures that the Republicans desperately want to push cutting food, housing , and education serves who exactly? Yes both sides take money from corporate interests but I hear no one from the right ever trying to improve a thing.
At least under Dems social needs are being addressed and solutions are being attempted. By the very definition of conservatism its a call to not only maintain the status quo but if you must move move backwards. Move back to a simpler time when America was for Americans.
Nearly all (I'm pretty sure it's all) the racist mysognystic and homophobic representatives occupy only one party and not only occupy it promote their bs at the detriment to the people. How many left wing representatives deny climate change or are in favor of reducing education?
Both sides have their share of faults but only one seems to do everything they can to hold people back.

Good for him but life experience as a black teen and eventually as a black man will probably put him off the repugnant republicans. These token blacks in the republican party have been told to know their place and that is at the bottom of the totem republican pole.

He may want to start with an actual understanding of the First Amendment:

(the private organization honey badger? That would be Facebook)

There is so much more to the Constitution than the Second and Tenth Amendments. Age aside, maybe he'll be taken seriously once he actually completes 9th grade Civics.

I would think the black men on this site would be enlightened that we are celebrating this young man...that is all petty...thank god none of you are his parents...you all have this mentality that he should give up...

I don't think he should give up but I am a believer of rules/laws. He didn't meet the age requirement for FB so....

Rules are rules and should be strictly followed. Until they get in the way of something someone on the right wants to do or say. Then it becomes a travesty against the very soul of America.

I'm very proud to see young black kids getting involved with politics. However, he needs to learn to stand on truth and learn about how our rights work before he starts challenging them. Once you know truth, and understand your rights and how they are work, then you have ground to stand on.

As it sits right now, he is acting out of emotion with a total disregard for the rules. Dude is 12. That's how it works. But, that's that right wing streak in him coming out. Play the victim, facts be damned.

Yes, I'm being hard on the kid. It's how boys learn to be men (not that he'll ever read this ...lol). I couldn't just say anything in front of my parents without them asking me why I felt a certain way. And, "cause" wasn't an answer. I had to explain my why I thought a certain way. And if I was wrong, I got corrected. Period.

    Exactly
And all this first ammendent shit only comes up when it's convenient because when people were exercising their first ammendment right to peacefully assemble they were looters and rioters. If they don't cosign it, it's shut the hell up you're just complaining.

Or maybe should take note that a site full of bm aren't over the moon about this and why. Like I told your friend simply being enthusiastic about politics is enough especially when the people he promotes push ideals that exclude people like him

Because black people should jump at anything doesn't support the stereotypes of laziness and unintelligent behavior even that bs is a group people who would rather us not exist except to serve them.
