A GOP office in Hillsborough, North Carolina, was firebombed over the weekend, with a swastika and the words "Nazi Republicans leave town or else" spray painted on an adjacent building, according to local officials.

No arrests have been made.

Gov. Pat McCrory on Monday called the fire an "assault on our democracy."

"The office itself is a total loss," Dallas Woodhouse, executive director of the state Republican Party, told The Charlotte Observer. "The only thing important to us is that nobody was killed, and they very well could have been.

 

We have a president who's deliberately trying to divide America, a president who puts party over country, a president with an autocratic bent who values winning more than morality. Where's the congressional leadership? Oh yeah, they cheer this garbage.

Gavin Long and Micah Johnson weren't part of BLM. Johnson had actually been rejected by all of the local black activist movements in the Metroplex, and he specifically criticized BLM in his manifesto.

The only group Long actually did claim affiliation with is the Sovereign Citizens, who are a far-right Libertarian movement and are responsible for killing and injuring dozens of cops nationwide.

I've stated repeatedly that I'm not particularly a fan of BLM (and I really don't like that simp DeRay), but there is no evidence whatsoever that the organizational goal of the group is to promote violence against the police or white people in general.

The notion that getting fed up and protesting the systemic problems with law enforcement in the US is tantamount to the promotion of violence is a bunch of horseshit, and I'm not going to let it stand. This is the second time in the past couple of weeks that I've seen you pushing this bullshit. There was another thread where you were defending Jeff Sessions' claim that his refusal to enforce consent decrees against corrupt departments is related to public safety.
