Hurts my heart to see people lose their lives over nonsense. Three beautiful babies now without their father, their hero, their mentor and their mama is left to try and fill the void while trying to emotionally deal with the loss herself :cry: The violence is just too much to handle sometimes. I know it's hard but getting out of your car yelling at someone is risky.

Will Smith did nothing to deserve getting shot, just wondering if there was a way to avoid it and get the driver info he needed from the guy who hit him?

But I tend to believe once that psycho hit him, it was over.
There was no easy way to get out of it except for Will Smith to keep driving and stay in his car.

Just being honest but if this bum could afford a lawyer, you know he'd be arguing Stand Your Ground and claim that Will Smith threatened his life, at which point he shot him.

Another idiotic law that was written to allow some people to legally kill other people.

The only reason this dumbass was charged with murder is because Will Smith was famous.
Not defending him, just pointing out the hypocrisy.

It's hard not to get a little emotional, when rear-ended, but you certainly don't think you are about to die over it. Clearly Smith went back to sit in his car...the maniac Hayes then opened fire on them.

Not to mention that his own father was shot dead by police, so he takes another father's life? And his fatherhood from his own child, because Hayes IS going to jail. Smh, ONE STUPID, HOT-HEADED, FALSE PRIDE DECISION ruined so many lives.

He had been enjoying a street festival Saturday, posting a photo of himself and his wife on Twitter and Instagram with the caption: "Having a blast at the #fqf2016 @ French Quarter Fest."

 

I would think Stand Your Ground laws allow you to shoot a man in the back if you BELIEVED he was going back to his car to get his gun....to shoot you.

If Will Smith was a 19 year old kid and Hayes was a 50 year old local business owner, this case would have a totally different spin in the media and the courts.

With a Black on Black crime like this, the more famous guy is legally going to get the benefit of the doubt.

Seems that he was intoxicated, their was absolutely no reason for will to hit dude from behind, he had more than enough time and space to break with no accident. Then he just peels the fuck out.

Witness accounts say he and his wife was wildin out.

Crazy how people only feel some type of way because he's a NFL player.... if this was a regular ass dude like us, wouldn't even be news.

 

I'm still trying to figure out what kind of gunshot wounds his wife had. One story says shot in the leg(singular), shot twice in the same leg and according to their attorney, shot in both legs. Seems like a pretty big detail to not clarify. Some of the reports, like the one in the link in the OP, don't even mention that Smith hit Hayes' car first......but video footage.

 

It was reported that a handgun was recovered in Smith's vehicle. This is very tragic. May he Rest In Peace.

 

So many answers to be answered. His lawyer seems to be very confident he's going to get off Scott free.

Fucked up he's locked up on million dollar bail.
