EVENTS WHERE WE CAN ALL MEET IN '07!!!

Here are some new events coming for 2007 so get ready. I'll update and feature many of the following events in a few weeks so check my blog on MySpace if anything.


CIAA BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT WEEKEND

Place: Charlotte, North Carolina
Date:Feb 25 - Mar 3, 2007

The largest African American college basketball weekend and party spot. Over 120,000 jam pack the weekend which features fashion shows, concerts, comedy, step shows and more.


PLYMOUTH JAZZ FESTIVAL IN TOBAGO

Place: Island Of Tobago
Date: Date: April 27-29, 2007

Comments: Mary, J Blige, L.L. Cool J, Gladys Knight, Earth Wind and Fire, Al Greene, Heather Headley, Elton John, Diana Ross and other performers makes this the most diverse super festival of the year.


5TH ANNUAL BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS MUSICFEST

Place: Cane Garden Bay Beach, Tortola, BVI
Date: May 25-27, 2007

Comments:The 6th Annual B.V.I. Music Festival hosted on the Beautiful Cane Garden Bay Beach, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. Enjoy the sound and culture of the Caribbean. The event features various genres of music such as Reggae, Calypso, Funji, R & B, Rock & Roll, Dance Hall, and Jazz from International, Regional and Local Artist. THE ST. LUCIA ISLAND JAZZ FESTIVAL

Place: St. Lucia Island
Date: May 5 - May 13, 2007

Comments: Nothing can quite prepare you for the sounds of puuure jazz along the beautiful beaches of St. Lucia. If you're looking to get away, then this is THE perfect getaway spot to git' yo romancin' swuuurv' on. This immensely popular festival has brought internationally renowned jazz artists to Saint Lucia each May since 1992.


AMERICAN BLACK FILM FESTIVAL

Place: Los Angeles, Ca
Date: Oct 25 -June 29 2007
Comments: Location and date change. Moved from Miami to LA for 2007 A crazy bangin' celebration and networking party showcasing who's who in the Film Industry, (sorry Miami).


THE ST KITTS MUSIC FESTIVAL

Place: St. Kitts
Date: June 21-24, 2007

Comments: For the past decade, St. Kitts has brought nothing but power packed concerts on a island where you can lay back, let your hair down and have fun. It is well established as one of the top summer concerts in the Caribbean offering spectacular local, regional and international talent mixed with the unique Kittitian experience.


THE TAKEOVER - JET SKI WEEKEND 2007

Place: Laughlin, NV (Riverside Resort And Casino)
Date: June 1-3, 2007

Comments: For the grown and sexy party participant, this event is held on the lake in Laughlin and has been a hidden sssh'ecret for years. Boat rides, white linen parties, jet skis and more...scaaary...veeery scurr'y...IF you're significant other is going and YOU'RE not, DO NOT let 'em go!!! PANAFEST - AFRICA

Date: July 23-August 1, 2007
Place: Ghana, Africa

Comments: Panafest is a cultural event dedicated to enhancement of the ideals of Pan-Africanism and the development of the African continent. It is organized biennially for Africans and people of African descent as well as all persons committed to the well being of Africans on the Continent and in the Diaspora. It's goals are to establish the truth about the history of Africa and the experiences of the African people, using the vehicle of African arts and culture. Panafest, by it's diverse character, projects a potential of being the most prestigious and indeed the most relevant cultural event on the entire African continent!

Those all look like fun events.I am sorry I missed the CIAA tourney because that's local to me.I think the white ladies in my area if they were signed up to this board would have had a field day!
May I ask, are there any white women in the MidAtlantic area(NC,Va)who are into electronic music?I ask, because Signal fest is having it's second annual event of multiple electronic shows that will be all around Chapel Hill, NC,(UNC) and Carrborro.This is an ever growing event taking place the weekend of April 27-29, 2007.The cost for admission to all the shows is 30.00, I bought a pass, and any lady who would answer and like to meet-I am a gentleman,of course, would not have to pay,I'd just like the company if the possibility existed.

The Black Film festival sounds kinda must-see too...

 

They all look like fun. If only I had the time and money to travel.

Might there not be any way that WE at WWBM could one day stage OUR OWN get together affair where ALL kindred spirits here can meet? Kinda like how INTERRACE Magazine stages sea cruises & such?

WHERE WE CAN ALL MEET IN 2007

I think that's a fantastically brilliant idea.I used to subscribe to Interrace Magazine waaaay back in 1994.I think I got one response, LOL.Back then, the internet wasn't as popular though.Are they still going? It would be nice to possibly renew a subscription with them.
Anyway, I think your idea is great. How would we go about organizing something like that? Perhaps deciding on a central place where people could meet?I would be willing to do it regionally, for the MidAtlantic area. Are there many white females from Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, DC? Black men from the same area? Just an idea.
