I'm gonna go out on a limb and proceed the good robina, et al on this, as far as a rebuttal is concerned: Granted, there *are* football hooligans from the U.K. that run rampant and rancid wherever they may go..... I think I even made mention here of the well-to-do suburbanite kid that got together with his pals to run around as (in his words) professional football terrorists.. But the Brits *aren't* the **only** ones guilty of this sin, I *assure* you.... And however odious the hooligans are.... At least it *didn't* end like *this* Stateside incident: http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/6183588-2-men-shot-to-death-over-world-cup-soccer-argument ...in *murder by firearm*.... It's not gotten that bad, as of yet. Just my tuppence, all... OpinionsCartioonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
It's not the first time the Brits have burnt a flag during the 2010 World Cup. English soccer fans burn American flag English fans burned an American flag outside Liverpool football ground. It was in protest at American-born owners of Liverpool, but there was also a broader message as the U.S. was preparing to face the English in the World Cup. More Brits burning the U.S. flag.
Nice try at posting immigrants but it ain't working as a rebuttal. Most Americans aren't passionate about soccer but the ethnic groups and immigrant population are. You keep using the same old British imperial method of covering up the crimes and blaming the crimes on others.
i dont see him blaming others for what happenned. yes we have some folks that give others a bad name at football matches but there not the norm, most fans are well behaved. the jostling of the german looks to have been brought about by a few bad apples with other folks standing around to watch, mob mentality sadly, like car crashes, people get curious and go and look and before you know it the crowd has grown to silly proportions and as for the burning of the flag, ive seen many flags being burnt in many countrys, if you want to look at flags burnt this weekend the vast majority have been england flags burnt by english people, we just dont see flags as a sacred item
Just showing another perspective, pal... Remember, I *do* happen to be born a Chicagoan. 'Nuff Said!!!! OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
Y'know I kinda have the feeling that we oughta be hearing a Comedy Club-type Rimshot after some of these *gems* that DenzBenz comes up with.. OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
