I think the internet and social media tend to give people a voice that wouldn't normally have one. Sometimes it's a good thing, sometimes it's bad.
True - unfortunately, that has spread to other areas though. Look at the orange one freaking TWEETING. Or the various things like transgender now becoming part of the Kindergarten curriculum, Kardasians, so called Instagram *models*, and on and on it goes.
It's that disturbing. We went from civil rights leaders fighting for diversity, equality and harmony bringing people together to... "DON'T TOUCH ME!" "WHITE PEOPLE AREN'T ALLOWED TO DO THAT!" "BLACK PEOPLE ARE UNGRATEFUL!" "MEN ARE TRASH!" "BLACK MEN ARE DANGEROUS TO BLACK WOMEN!" "THAT'S CULTURE APPROPRIATION!" And have to nerve to always claim to admire people like MLK. Please! They're not fighting for what MLK wanted, they are fighting for what Jim Crowe wanted.
