As usual I agree with you Chi, and Andrae, and Loki, and everyone else who thinks this is utterly ridiculous. I don't care if he screwed 1/2 the female population on the entire planet, that doesn't entitle his wife to shit. I believe I read they had a pre-nup, she should have received whatever the pre-nup called for and not one dime more. He paid out to minimize any negative publicity and possibly to minimize the unpleasantness for his children. I suppose if it was worth that to him, that's his business, but frankly in his wife's situation I couldn't take that from him. He did the work to earn the money, I'm not discounting her role as a mother, but ultimately they would have no assets were it not for him. Ensure you children are supported, fine I have no problem with that, but anything above and beyond that so you can live the easy life funded by someone else, that's bullshit. I honestly would be ashamed and embarrassed if I were her, not by what he did, but for taking him for 750 million. It's just utterly shameful. Being married to someone does not mean they have an obligation to support you for life after you're divorced, get a damn job, support yourself.

Do you have any clue how much time goes into keeping track of 100 million dollars worth of investments let alone billions daily. There is absolutely no possible way anyone person could keep track. His brand made him 2 Billion bucks which means 1.25 Billion would not had hurt him much. I had not heard of a lot of Swedish woman taking a brother to the cleaners. Like I said before a man will agree to anything if the threat of not seeing his kids are on the line. Especially after that scandal many judges would side with her for sole custody making it impossible to see his kids. Nothing else makes sense to me. I can't see any other reason for a sane person would part with that kind of money easily.

 

Honestly image is more important to some people than anything, so that could be just as much of an incentive to him. No one knows but them. Regardless it's an insane amount of money for anyone to receive without working for it, and before someone points out that as his wife she did work for it, let me say there are no services she could perform that are worth that sum of money.

Agreed, a lot about this just is not adding up, Tiger had a pre-nup and all the money in the world to hire the best divorce lawyers to fight this. I did exactly what every other poster did, I formed an opinion based on the information presented. Ill say this again not only for you FG but other on lookers, I am ruled by logic and my logical mind can't think reasonably think of any other reason why a person who worked for living would part with so much of their earnings. A guilty conscious only goes so far and at this point I doubt there is very little that would shock the public and scare endorsements away. I can easily seeing a hurt woman saying "after all I've been through I can't look at you. I'm going home to Sweden and I'm taking the kids". Any man hearing this would consult someone to see if she can do this and Loki can correct if I'm wrong but when parents are fighting kids the woman usually wins especially in something so public. Tiger can lose custody just for going to rehab siting that he is a sexual compulsive and his actions might bring harm to his kids. Hearing something like that would make any man who is involved and who loves his kids agree to anything. I don't see how my assumptions are any more outlandish than the other speculations made in this thread or the other threads.

andrae...yes, i do know that...the point i was trying to make is one that we have talked about many times on this forum and that is the difference between athletes and business men...two different animals handling finances completely different...warren buffet and bill gates are business men...tycones if you will...they made their money in a different way and they also deal with money in a different way...it wouldn't matter to me if you were a top accountant with pricewaterhouse, kpmg, deloitte & touche or ernst & young...i still believe that warren buffet has a pulse on every single dime he has ever made...tiger on the other hand was shelling out cash to handlers to take care of all of his sexual episodes...i doubt he has any idea how much he spent just to bust a nut
