Did anyone else see his show today? it was about a mom (ww) who wouldn't accept hr daughters bf(bm) and family? which the dr was trying to help her work on her anger? Has anyone here had to deal with this kind of issue? as for myself my parents did not agree with interracial relationships, but they have come to accept how i feel for my hubby and they see how good he is to me and my kids and they get along great.
I can't say that I've ever heard of his show – I'm not a big TV guy but from an acceptance of IR in my family: My father “it's your choice and you will always be my son.” My brother “it's your life.” My mother “Hell no!” My stepmother “I don't agree.” I've always been “my own man” even when I was a kid but I never dated IR until I was older [late 20's] so I believe that has much to do with it.
Actually this episode aired back in December but yeah that mom has major issues that are deeper then race. As far as IR acceptance well my late father never really said anything on it. My mom didn't like it but gave up trying to say anything. As for other relatives well most of the women from my mom's side of the family were either all for it or not for it.
