I hate to tell you bro....you started on the wrong foot by taking her out some place that nice. I had to learn that too. trial and error. take em some place simple. like out for ice cream or coffee. the reasons are
1) women will not feel pressured. she will feel like you expect something
2) you will not feel pressured. damn i put all this money out and got fly and shit. yada yada yada.
3) you will not feel like you invested something and got nothing in return. hate to say it like that but its the truth.
4) the less the better. example: like I stated take her out for ice cream or just drinks (local tavern where thats all they do is knock back a few)/coffee (starbucks or barnes and nobles. barnes and nobles would be nice because you can get a cake and coffee and will not spend alot)

this way you can be relax and really talk your talk. I had to learn ...have to talk about that in a more secret environment so they will not know whats going on....stay away from the arguments.

it sound like to me she (the BW) was saying you came off too nice ...meaning you arent aggressive enough. Its hard to explain but its like this. just tell her /woman what you expect and they can take it or leave (say it in a respectable manner of course) or
it could mean that you came across as a guy that isnt a take charge type of dude. I will give you an example. I remember I had asked a girl out and this is how i did it. mind you I thought we had good convo over the phone: " hey, would you like to go out to dinner saturday?" she stated naw...blah blah blah.

mistake 1) I didnt set her up rite. I didnt ask what her schedule was for this weekend in an earlier part of the convo. that way I will know if I had a green light.

Mistake 2) I asked. you should never ask sorta speak. you should instruct. "how about this...we go out for drinks and then afterwards we will go from there." yeah its asking but at the sametime its a little agressive and take charge. another way of doing it which is probably better "hey , Im going to the bar tomorrow ..you can come if you like." this way it seems like you are inviting her..no harm no foul and it comes across you are fitting her in on your time.

mistake number 3 never ask a woman out on a saturday until you have been smashing it for awhile. its best to ask her sunday thru thursday. if on saturday do it in the afternoon (which is still bad because most women get their hair done on that day to do whatever that nite)

as far as the intruction theory ...a black woman told me that. it worked for me. I will have to tell you the story behind that one day.
