I meet this beautiful sista at a speed dating event. She's very intelligent, carried herself well and was in school studying medicine. So, naturally I figure we'd be a good match

I took her to this restaurant, 3030 Ocean. It's the kind of place that, between a bottle of wine, appetizers, meals and dessert you expect to spend $150 - $200 for two. Anyway, long story short.... we had a good first date, laughed, conversation flowed easy, everything. A couple of days later, we're on the phone and she's telling me that I'm a really nice guy, BUT she's looking for a corporate thug. In other words, if I took her to Churches Chicken and for conversation whispered in her ear "wait till you see this dick" me and her would probably be fuckin right now.

I was having a conversation with a friend of mine about that very thing. Now bear in mind, this dude actually has the appearance of "looking thuggish", but in reality, he's a cool, easy-going guy that DO get lucky a lot. However, he told me that a lot of (black) women like to go for those people who do fit contrary to what they say they want.

He even called out this one girl and asked her why. She's a very nice person, but like most people, her choices in men are generally in "dangerous waters" and her reason is that she just like those kind of people, all the while being aware of that sort of personality doesn't benefit her success-wise.

It's baffling how people like to contradict themselves a lot.

This discord between BM and BW is really disconcerting. You don't see that amongst white people. At least I don't. I don't date BM because I dislike WM. I don't throw WM under the bus just because I prefer to date BM. And I would certainly not fault a WM if he chose to date a BW. If that's what he's attracted to, so be it.

I think too many BW (from my experience with my BW friends), push BM away with their attitude and then get angry when they turn to women of other races. They want to be treated like a queen but expect to be able to act like a diva. Few men, black or white, want that. (And that's not to say WW don't do that too - I've known a few of them as well, but it seems more prevalent with BW.) That's not meant to offend anyone, just my observation.

As for Deena in the Kim K clip, her problem was jealousy, plain and simple. I have to hand it to her, though, that she admitted it.
