Yes they had to read that book. Ironically,the author lived in Cuba and China before he went back to the States. He was from my home state of North Carolina and had entounters with Jesse Helms since they both lived in Monroe.

 

Yeah, you're right. But Jesse Helms knew his place when it came to Robert F. Williams. The man was against Dr King's nonviolent resistance. Now i respect MLK as a great man and is one of my heroes but i identify with Malcolm X and other civil rights activists who opposed nonviolent resistance. For example, when Robert Williams started the movement in the 50s, it was criticized by the nonviolent protestors. But on one occasion when the Klan attacked Williams and his people, they decided to turn the tables around and the next time the Klan came around, this people strapped up with rifles and fought back. Guess what, the Klan NEVER, EVER came back there again. The same applies to Northerners following Malcolm X. They were never attacked again when they decided to fight back.

Now, that there, is why i will always identify with self-defense in times of racial harrasment.

 

There was public tv documentary on Williams some months back. I will let you know if I find it.

Flamhet,I hope that is true in some countries in Eastern Europe. The importance is dating one and having no drama from the natives.

It depends on the hour and location. These pictures are just a very colorful selection :lol: Most people on the subway are normal people going about their business. On weekends and holidays though, some folks tend to have one too many, and that's when you see them sleeping in the subway cars - because it's warm as compared to the street, just like in New York City.

 

True,but the cops in New York make sure they are removed from the subways. You very rarely if not at all seen a woman passing out in one of those subway cars. I bet some Russians use their cells to call police to pick them up. As for the men they just ignore them.
