I remember in either in the Globe or Examiner of Dog saying racist rants and doing drugs a year or two ago. I bet those people who reported it say I Told You So.
I agree with your post, raocha. I don't ever hear the word in my circle of friends no matter how much we drink, but I have a small-minded step-dad that uses it occasionally. We are all aware there's plenty of racism around, that its a given, but it is also true that are white people who are most def not that way. Getting into some arguement about 'how many' white people are this way or that is pointless and simply based on opinion and personal experiences. As for dog, I think he should get his show yanked, and then I think everyone should stop talking about him and giving him free publicity. His name is just becoming more and more known - so when makes a comeback after 'doing some soul-searching' and visiting about a dozen more black churches to show how supportive he is of the black community (and I say that with the greatest sarcasm), even more people will be curious about his show. It will give him a boost in the long run. The guy has been outed as a racist. It's done, he's a bastard. What bullsh!t about how his using the N word was taken out of context.
I'm sorry you had to experience that so much but I don't live in TX. If you would read the replies through and through you would see that I didn't use the word ALL. Nobody has, and you call me overly sensitive??? What is your problem????? "There was no need to throw yourself up on a cross to defend your family?" What is that supposed to mean? I simply stated how it is/was for me growing up and now. Excuse the fuck out of me for voicing my opinion. I thought that's what we did here? My bad, my opinion is on the topic. 1/2 of your opinion is about what I said.
dog Well, I did catch Dog on Larry King, and apologized again for what he said. I think he is finished as being a TV star is concerned.
Re: dog Not!!!!! He'll go away for a while (read: 6 months - 1 year) and get called back by someone else.
