"Yes." And I put this in quotes because he didn't quite ask for it as much as he should anticipate the outcome of it because he's a major figurehead in the civil rights era.

No you didn't. You imply that good things happen if you do good things. How is killing someone a good thing when he's advocating for equality? And secondly, destiny isn't the right word. If that were the case, then all outcomes would be of equal matter. In other words, everyone involved in that movement would have died in that matter.

if you cheat on your wife and then later lose your job due to layoffs, lose your house because you can find a job and ect... where your wife comes up then people say ....you reap what you sow or they say karma is a bitch.

If it were up to karma, then the actions would have directly revolved around that very thing (cheating). But no. Plus, westerners improperly use the concept of karma in a pretty bastardized way. That's a personal perception. Not the reality. Losing his job wasn't the result of him cheating, let alone other problems of his.

The definition of Destiny reads: a predetermined course of events often held to be an irresistible power or agency.

The keyword is predetermined, as in "its bound to happen, irregardless of any given thought and cannot be changed." The fact is that, nothing is destined or guaranteed. It's just the random collection of events that take shape. Again, if he was killed, then it happened, not because it was "meant" to happen. But the probability of his assassination in that given time was higher because he became a prominent figure in a very volatile time.

its gauranteed if you do dumb shit dumb shit will happen.

if you do good shit good shit will happen.

    you reap what you sow.

you were basically saying he was asking for it then he was destined for it. it was bound to happened. every decision you make changes shit.

You're still viewing this very narrowly. Again, just because you perform good deeds doesn't mean good things will happen to you. Again, MLK performed a good deed by advocating social change and yet he died as the result. Can you call that a good shit happens to good people? If you call that good, then consider yourself a premier optimist. So if you died for the sake of thick women, then it must be good, right?

Buffet doesn't understand the concept at all. Born at the "right time" is a silly thing to say. Warren didn't plan to be part of the reproductive cycle of the Buffets. That was just a happening process. There's no predestined or predetermined outcome. Out of the pussy, he was able to work hard and drive himself to be the man he is today. Destiny doesn't factor into it.

I somewhat do in some way but I just think it's some random thing that people make up cuz they were bored. But I do believe to always treat others how you want to be treated--Karma sometimes works like that. Good karma= You'll recieve good things if you do good things back.
Bad Karma= Well, it's the same to good Karma, only bad--obviously xD

I stick to the old fashion behavior road--be good while you can and you'll get good things too! :3

I don't believe in karma as such, but I think for normal-functioning human beings, you tend to make you own karma through regret and empathy.

Like if you cheat on your highschool girlfriend, then you fall for some girl who cheats on you later, you're going to remember that girl from highschool and feel regret for making her feel like that. Now you know how it feels and you feel bad about it and like this has happened because of what you did.

Then there's "karma" through other people or revenge, if you do bad things to people they will often retaliate, in this case, it actually is because of what you did, but maybe this time you don't feel so bad about it because it's them getting revenge. You do something nice for someone, maybe they or someone else will see you differently and have more time for you, you could see this as karma too

It's an interesting concept and I'd like to believe in it as a cosmic force, but all too often it seems it doesn't work that way and some people don't get what they deserve. But hey, maybe they already had something that made them the way they are or do the things they do(which is often the case), so maybe that could be karma too.

I do think that sometimes we need to believe in this stuff to get by though, if you tell yourself that guy who did wrong by you will get what he deserves someday and that it's out of your hands then you feel better and maybe the world's a better place because you don't try and get revenge. I think most people will believe in this stuff even if only for a moment because it makes us feel better, life's pretty depressing otherwise.

Because you know the only friend I have on here is in this 42 yr old grad school Alabaman student and soon-to-be teacher (imagine that)?

Watch him reply "you dumb ass bitch, don't act tuff".

It wouldn't be funny if it wasn't gl saying it.

again what Im trying to convey to you over and over again. is that karma is a way for people to feel vindicated for being done wrong by a certian person or a way for explaining good fortune when they had no real hand in what happened. Its a way for people to explain the unexplainable. how many ways do i need to explain it to you ?

to say what buffett doesnt understand is kind of stupid when you dont know what question was asked of him and especially havent sat down and talked to him about it. that is extremely arrogant.

In karma, religion and philosophy there is not necessarilly a right or wrong answer. there isnt any real logical reasoning about it at all..especially religion.

science and tech, research cant explain everything. somethings you just have to take on face value.

now I do believe in putting yourself in a wealthy position or success. success/wealth doesnt necessarily mean money. one way is talking yourself into success. it is a psychological thing. it has been talked about in the psychological communities. learned helplessness along with other psychological terms to address failures.
