The term Soul Mates can have many meanings(as I have been thoroughly "schooled" on the subject). I have been seeing this very engaging women from Iran(oh yes! The big bad Middles East). Apparently, she makes a good argument about Soul Mates.

You see, I have always 'thought' about it in terms of "Romantic Love." She also made a point when two souls meet in physical realms and produce children 'karma' between those two souls end, and share karma that is linked to the children.

It is said, you feel closer to certain souls, because you have "attracted them into you life as they are on the same frequency as you." I guess the saying is true, "You are, what you attract." Friends, colleagues, others influences of/in your life can be your Soul Mates. It is hard for me to shake the idea of past influences(E.G. My mentor in business) can be an direct reflection on one's soul. I suppose, it is something not far from the truth.

For instances, look at the women you are attracted to, you will gravitate toward women who looks and behaves as if you were a women - like a reflection of self. Your ideal partner is who you are in that physical body! This is true also because we are always seeking ways to experience ourselves. As for romantic partners, some people say you know immediately as soon as you come in contact with that they are your Soul Mate. Can a women know exactly what her soulmates are "feelings?" But is that feasibly logical?

So can you have many soul mates in romantic love?

That is a good analysis she made to you...

and, in that case of it, I will say that Soul Mates do exist, otherwise, we'd all be screwing around with one another, only to get absolutely nowhere in our relationships.

I do not believe in soul mates. I think we have very strong connections to different people, but an actual soul mate (meaning the mirror of our soul) can only be God. It is our soul and not our body that is made in Gods image.

Ok.....so you do not believe in Soul Mates.............then what? Why exactly, are these 'connections' stronger for one individual, then others, if you do not believe in Soul Mates?

It is hard for people to discuss a topic without mentioning God or man's contrived Religion(I know it is coming next, it is too bad most of these imbeciles do not even know the MEANING OF RELIGION: it is Latin for 'Religare', which means TO BLIND) and its fabricated image of his Mind, Body and Soul. First, please clarify which God you speak of, because there are MANY.

I believe in the saying, "You must Know Thyself to be wise" it is too bad most individuals do not have a solid foundation for working out the truth. Here, will be a series of questioning for all the God fanatics, which I know most individuals will NOT be able to answer coherently, and, it may take most individuals YEARS to answer these questions, as biblical scholars are still trying to COHERENTLY polarize them.

If our souls were created in the image of God, then, why thereof it took Man nearly 4000 years to conceive God's image in its entirety? What EXACTLY is this image of his Soul? How do I know this image is REAL and not CONTRIVED? Why are there SO MANY concepts and conceptual connotations of his image in its ENTIRETY? Who image is the CORRECT ONE, and why are everyone else's image WRONG?

no one is talking religion here, just me and flygirl talking about our beliefs and the God we worship,

if you dont believe in God that is your choice, then just stick to the subject, which is do you believe in a soul mate? so just answer that, no one asked you if you believed in God or had a religion

Ok, this topic is not about GOD OR RELIGION which was my point.

and you were the only one making it about religion or God, we were talking about who is OUR soul mate so if OUR God is OUR soul mate what is it to ya?

If you dont believe in a God, then dont talk about it and if you dont believe in Jesus being your soul mate then dont talk about it, the question was aimed at each INDIVIDUAL, so answer for yourself as I have and as Fly has

and no one mentioned religion, so I dont know what you are referring to

How well are your reading and comprehension skills sir? Reread her post, let is marinate for a bit. She mentions OUR SOUL BEING CREATED IN GOD'S IMAGE. Which is why I said there can NEVER be a discussion without someone mentioning God.

    Now reread my post........

I stated we can never have an discussion without someone mentioning GOD OR RELIGION. Memory laps perhaps?

still not a mention of religion in her post, after many rereads, not one. And again,t hat is her right to have God as her soul mate as it is all believers in Christ or any other belief system

for those without one then they or you dont have to mention one, you can for example mention your own soul mate, but again for me

my soul mate is Jesus Christ/God of all creation

Well for one, she never mentions God being her Soul Mate. She only said we were created in the image of God's Soul. Only you said God is your Soul Mate. So you believe in the Christan God? Why exactly is his image the correct whilst every other image is the wrong one? If you mention God, then, you must mention Religion because God was conceived through Religion. Which is why I stated people can never have a discussion without mentioning God. I guess they think they are being intelligent, when in actuality they are not, and 10 x out of 10 they have no clue what they are talking about; which makes them look moronic.

Love, affection, soul mates ... all of it is nothing but a chemical reaction. Altered carbon with some hormons mixed in.

If you are lucky, you will form an allotrope of carbon with superlative qualities, called a diamond, but if you are unlucky you might end up reacting to the other equally well known allotrope, which is graphite.

    Altered carbon, eitherway, anyway.

So, are we talking about Soul Mates now, or religion?

    Another digressed thread.....

and, a Soul Mate would be someone whom you are compatible with as a life partner, on a physical, emotional, spiritual, and overall, romantic level, so I don't see how a religion founder can constitute as that...

    but, to each it's own.

The topic was "soul mates". Here is the wikipedia definitions:

    Definitions

Classical - Greek mythology - An angry god split our ancestors into two resulting in humans who are condemned to spending their lives searching for the other half, the soulmate.

Spiritual and religious - concepts of reincarnation and karma. Soulmates have spent many previous lifetimes together.

Companion soulmate - People with whom one has made a connection.

Twin soulmates - Very close friends with whom one has strong bonds.

Twin flame soulmate - A popular romantic belief that there is only one true soulmate.

As you can see, it isnt just someone you can spend your life with. It means many things to many people. To me, a soul is the image of God and no man could ever be my soul mate. I do not believe God made us for one specific person.

Ok, so you do not believe is Soul Mates. Then why do you feel a necessary connection to certain individuals? :p And how would you describe God's Soul? I am still confused to what image that you speak of. Like Soul Mates, there are many contrived images and definitions of God's Mind, Body, and Soul. :p

What exactly is a Soul Mate?
A Soul Mate is a kindred soul with whom you have a special connection, spiritually as well as physically. Now don't get the idea that physically means sexually or through a love type relationship, because it doesn't. It can be platonic, it can be as mother and daughter and so on.

A Soul Mate is unique to others we share time, experience and karma with in that they come into our lives to help us learn a major spiritual lesson that will hopefully propel us over a deep chasm that has long been part of our spiritual psyche. A soul mate can be a lover, a friend, someone who suddenly comes into your life and then just as quickly moves out (after the lesson is over).

They don't come into every incarnation, which is one of the things that make a Soul Mate special. I've noticed that a lot of people think the person they're married to or madly in love with is their soul mate. That's a sweet thought, but it doesn't work that way. Those people who you feel this unique closeness to are simply souls that you have spent many lifetimes with in the past. You have varying degrees of karma to share with these souls on many levels on for many subjects. They are special in their own right, but they are most probably not a "Soul Mate".

    What is a Twin Soul?
A Twin Soul is a little harder to explain. At the time of your creation into a spiritual essence, you were created with an equal counterpart. Many people call this simultaneous creation of two spiritual beings the birth of Souls, thereby making your counterpart your Twin Soul. These two souls progress along their spiritual paths on a very individualistic basis. Never incarnating together, and most likely not even in the same solar system. It's part of the Universal balance, the creation of Yin and Yang so to speak.
