I'll flip this for you and ask: do white women respect black men?

If you look at the personals (and sometimes real l ife) it seems white women think black men are "easy". In fact, i over-heard a matured white lady (and her black hubby.) on sunday. She said something like "some black men dont have good taste", after looking at an IR couple. Then her hubby replied "well, these niggas just take what they can get". After he said this i looked at him, because we were at a public spot. As he noticed my eyes on him, without missing a breath he said "what are you looking at??.was i talking to you??..you dumn nigger!!".....as he said this, his white lady giggled under her breath. I began laughing and said, "youre calling me a nigger when youre darker than me,??" the guy clearly looked jobless, so i was surprised he'd call me names when i was looking sharp as a pencil.?Hhaha. Self hating negros and their white women crack me up.

Anyways, my point still is that some white women date black men because they see us as easier targets, and usually their "dating requirements" tends to rise when it comes to black men. A woman can be a dollar store employee, obese with missing teeth, and still want a "fine" looking black man, its unbelievable. This same woman would be happy with an average white dude.

As for "do black men respect white women"??.....some do ,some dont

    damn im tired

I respect everyone until they give me a reason not to.

    lol...you are so funny.

Shy - I don't think anyone thinks you're a troublemaker...it's like one of the other ladies said - there is a lot of crap that goes on here with people/trolls that are just out to cause trouble and upset wwbm's happy little corner of cyberspace. So whenever the regular, long-time posters see anything that looks remotely fishy, red flags go up. I've been a member of this site for about 2yrs (on and off), and the one thing I can tell you, is just be yourself - always. People won't always agree - and a lot of them will tell you about it if that's the case, lol - but once you've been here awhile, you'll get more comfortable. Folks around here always give respect where it's due, but you've got to earn it first. ;)

On that note....carry on, my child, carry on. :smt083

The same type of Black woman will want and pull "fine" Black men, Why would a White women settle for less than what a Black woman can get?

That last part was exactly what I was talking about the other day in the thread about "worshiping" obese women. I suspect these fat broads you see who are all sensitive about their own weight but still turn around and diss fat men are the same ones who think that their fat asses are entitled to a good looking, in shape black man with a bank roll just because they're white. Fortunately for them, there really are a lot of brothers out there with pathetically low standards.

If by "fine," you mean an unemployed thug who's out on parole then I agree. There's no way in hell that some fat, snaggletoothed hoodrat who works at Walmart, black or white, would ever pull a fine chocolate gentleman such as myself.

To be honest- sometimes people sell themselves very cheap. Men and women.
But I think,if you respect yourself, you respect others and you expect to be respected. That all has a lot to do with self esteem and to be aware, what you can give, what you have, who you are.

If you are right- then it is very sad.

agreed c. i don't see how the colour of someone's skin or the sex that they are can determine whether or not they deserve respect. everyone deserves respect...treat others the way yourself would want to be treated and i find it normally happens. of course there are always exceptions to that rule, but that's life...accept that person has issues and move on.

My standards are the same whether I'm dating Black, White or Green men. And they're high. Why shouldn't they be? I'm not going to "settle" just because there's a percentage of the population who looks down on me for being overweight.

Hell, I haven't lowered my standards and I can still pull "fine" men of any race so I'm not changing any time soon.

Tarshi you guys are so wonderfully naive sometimes and I don't mean that in a condescending way. I wish the world thought the way most of you do but unforunately they don't. There is an undeniable social value put on race and gender ie name one third world country that isn't prefominatly brown.

lol...i guess i can be naive at times andrae, it's true...but you can also be a little cynical at times, choosing to see the negative side of human nature rather than seeing or seeking the good.

I wouldn't say I'm cynical just a realest. I can't deny what's right in front of my face because it's not what I had hoped would happen. We all live with in the context of our perception but for better or worst that's shaped with our experiences.

exactly. one persons truth isn't always anothers. i think we're all seekers of truth and our outlook on life shapes what we find.
