Oskaloosa woman accused of giving her baby cocaine (OSKSLOOSA, Iowa) Law enforcement officials accuse a Heartland woman of giving drugs to her little boy. The sheriff says the suspect is in the Mahaska County Jail after she allegedly put cocaine on the tongue of her 20-month-old son. Twenty-one-year-old Alicia Nicole Reynolds of Oskaloosa is charged with distribution of a controlled substance to a person under 18 and neglect of a dependent person. Sheriff Paul DeGeest told KTVO's Debra Savage the Department of Human Services received an anonymous tip that Reynolds had given her baby "coke". He says the child tested positive for drugs. It hasnt been non stop coverage because there was no video. Nothing is real unless we see it on our teevee. So we can sit on our sofas, eating our hamburger helper and acting as if it we didnt know there was a drug problem in the US. With Americans it is all bout the appearance of sin. That woman giving coke to her baby is a disgrace to the human race...so are those black guys who taught kids how to smoke weed! It's one thing to give weed to a 5 year old; it's not going to kill them. But when you give some cocaine to a baby, that may very well kill them if given the right amount.

There was a case in Russia back in the fifties when a boy grew up mentally retarded. Turned out, his father or uncle gave me a few teaspoons of home-made vodka when he was a baby, and said: it's okay, let him get used to it! All over the globe children get abused in the most horrendous ways... ... unbelievable ...
I think it is unfortunate that just anyone can have kids. I mean, I know that there's no way to "regulate" who's a capable parent and who insn't... but it would be nice if everyone received parenting classes at some point or another in their developpment. I was watching a stand-up comic the other day and she was saying how ironic it is that when a woman can't remember a simple task like taking a pill every day (birth control) her punishment is that she gets to take care of a human life!! Well, she had worded it in a funnier way, but you get the point. When you think about it, it just doesn't really make any sense!
