there is a difference. I have dated men from Australia, Kuwait and Sudan. They were nothing like American black men. :)

    You guys are less attractive.

    You forgot about that one.

Uh and your point is? I think men worldwide try to be like American black men point blank.

No offence, but I don't think so. A very few young men in Europe might do so, but for instance in Africa you won't see any young men flashing their underwear in public... No chains also... And they're even black them self, so one might have believed they'd be the first ones to try to adopt your culture and sense of style....

Most people just want to be them self!

Never mind, this thread isn't worth wasting any of my time.

This thread needs to end....it's only purpose is to put black American men on one side and African men and white women on another side....and separate us. That's just what "The Man" wants.....we need to stop allowing others to define who we are.

    Fight on

Ronja,in some parts of Africa the men wanted to imitate the rappers from the States. I would not be surprised is they wear their outfits as well.

In music videos, sure. But you won't really see people wearing such clothes out on the streets...

Not in music videos but,in real life as well. Tupac is still big in some circles.

True. Also if you go to one of those myspace sites for different african nations, you will see alot of african blacks (especially teenagers) imitating Black american culture/urban culture.
Also there are alot of african blacks living in asia, europe, etc who say that they are african americans to come across as cool.Ive heard about this happening alot in japan.Nigerians open up HipHop shops and pretend that they are african americans to get laid. They also say this because foreign countries tend to treat Black americans better than Blacks from Africa and etc.
You can usually tell the difference though alot of times, but alot of people fall for it because they have never experienced african americans outside of what they see on t.v.....

Sorry people. I disagree. I've hardly ever seen people wear that kind of clothes in Africa. And I have actually looked for it...

Some will wear a bit baggy clothes, but I think that's because it's more comfortable in the heat (traditional clothing is loose as well). But it's usually normal clothes only a size too big. And even if the pants are a bit baggy, they'll pull it up to their waist, so they certainly don't wear it like you do.

The image of American BM wearing hip-hop clothes and using slang all the time is akin to the image of African BM on National Geographic....there are roots in reality...but it is a VERY LIMITED look at the broad diversity that exists within each group.

Ronja, you have not been to most of the nations in the motherland. This is not one of your Blixen experiences.

    Hey soulthinker ,
i am from DR congo in central africa and i am actually residing in south-africa but there is nothing like africans in africa trying to follow african-american or wear like african americans   Ronja is right , i have been in many west , central and southern african countries nothing like that ... but you might find a little minority ( 3 out of 1000 0000 people that might an example of what you just stated). I really dont like the idea behind this thread ... And again i don't see why we should have such discussions as we are all blacks of african of origine loving these GOGEOUS WHITE FEMALES ...
