ESPN pulls Hank Williams Jr. from MNF opening
    ESPN.com October 4, 2011
The Faux news anchors tried to throw him life lines and he kept on hacking away.

Polar opposites? Pres. Obama is a confirmed moderate

    Obama and Biden = Three?

    The enemy?

    Hitler?

Does he not realize that politicians have always had friendships with those of the other party? Or that nearly all laws and legislation that are passed has bi-partisan support?

Sounds like a Senator to me!

I heard this on Tom Joyner going in to work today and thought - how could he be so stupid? But maybe he meant Boehner, Obama, and Biden were the 3 (count them) THREE stooges. Because of them playing golf together? You know how the media likes to take things out of context.

I still don't support anything Hank Williams Jr. said - I think he's ignorant and I don't agree with any of his political views. But still - maybe using a little less literal journalism... I would have had to heard the clip.

I do think he should be pulled, for saying something so blatantly political on a sports show - not to mention pulling the Hitler card - it's just so lame.

But was he saying Boehner was Hitler, and Obama was Netenyahu? Check the order of the sentence. Which was it? Either way, I don't see what place an ignorant ass redneck has to be making commentary on sports, just as stupid Dennis fucking Miller needed to shut the hell up as well.

Arrogant twats. I hate football and I hate American politics/media/celebrities.

it has always been popular to belittle the guy you don't like, so that is not new but the chorous of disrespect for the Negro President is very popular and there are people will will Support Williams, even worse, many more will defend him.

MNF did the right thing suspending him...if they can't handle janet jackson having a wardrobe malfunction then this guy needs to go...there is certainly someone more worthy of this commission...i don't care who he is...i don't care who his dad is...apparently the 3rd generation is the smartest...his son said that his dad had no business commenting on politics...he is a musician and should stick to what he knows:smt079

TRUTH. He's got friends in low places after all - he should go hang out with them. Maybe they can put him up when his mortgage goes south from his flapping his jaws... lol

LOL shows how much I know about country music - I always thought it was a Hank Williams Jr. Song. Maybe I'm thinking about "All my Rowdy Friends..."

Maybe I should just quit lol... I'll stick with Shania Twain - she's Canadian, right?

The most telling thing botoan from your post above is one of the guests mentioning Hank Williams Jr. has written a song called "If the South had won" which was about a Utopia that would have taken place if the Confederacy had won the Civil War.

Looks like a member of the Good Ole Boys Club that still hasn't come to grips with the fact that its 2011 and a non-white male is in the highest political office of this great nation.

Old habits die hard, he has a right to "Freedom of Speech" but doesn't mean ESPN has to keep him for making controversial and asinine remarks.

No one has shown up and arrested him and thrown him in jail, so the free speech noise is bullshit. He is now free to keep speaking to his hearts content.

He can take his guitar and peruse the streets of Dixie singing to his hearts content and saying whatever he wants about Obama as a private citizen, ESPN just choose not to put up with it from a publicity standpoint.

That is the same network that canceled Playmakers so ESPN cared about their brand.

Yep, Disney owner of ESPN doesn't play with that nonsense.

I laugh at the notion of his freedom of speech is being usurped, he he is no longer associated with ABC/Disney via ESPN MNF and can say whatever he wants about Obama as Citizen Joe Blow.

Obama won't send his personal henchman to drag him off to a concentration camp, despite Obama being akin to Adolf Hitler and all.

    Some folks cannot help themselves.

I'm just imagining what it would be like to be a black man and dating a female relative of his. Could you imagine such a set of events, would be hilarious. :D
