FG this world has always been unfair, the hand you are dealt is the hand you are dealt. An 18 year old recently won the lottery for 6M yet a person who has worked all their life never comes close to winning. If you are invoking a higher power into the equation ever consider that there may not be one?

I've always found it interesting that we as people can never trust someone we can see, smell and touch. Yet ALL religions ask us to believe on faith that there's a higher power, but that power has never spoken to you, you don't know what he or she looks like. I am not saying that I feel this way, just something to think about...

Books you are now adding another term into the equation

    1. Destiny
    2. Predetermined
    3. Preordained (Acting in behalf of a higher power, intervention)

I don't believe a higher power acts on our behalf, hence the free will or he will just make us serve him..da!

As for survival of the fittest theory I don't think that is the case either. Destiny though is the inetivable path we all take filled with our desires, dreams and wishes and destruction

Sorry! I didn't mean to add another word to this. I meant pre-determined.

I think there are sometimes paths laid out for us based on socio-ecomomic background, genetics, parental encouragement, etc. I also think that based on an individual's particular make-up he/she will react in unpredictable ways to a set of stimuli.

For instance, out of two siblings raised identically in the same household, one may decide to follow Dad's footsteps while the other might try to go in as different a direction as possible.
