It's getting even more serious. BM are now getting chastised for dating BW who are considered not dark enough. Or casting light skinned sistas in films or videos.

Snipes didn't go straight to dvd because of what he said about bm. He went straight to dvd because the crappy movie blade 3 and then bashing the creators and trying to sue them.

All that happened after Snipes' interview in '02 that criticized sistas. It was the beginning of the end I think. His problems with New Line wouldn't blackball him throughout the industry, it's gotta be another factor. After all, Blade 2 opened big.

If his BW fan base in the US was still strong, he could have bounced back from Blade 3 (which I agree was shit). He did "Disappearing Acts" for HBO in between Blade 2 & 3 and the reviews I read in Essence and the like bashed him because of his views, not his acting. Soon after he was in DVD land.

Put it like this, R. Kelly could very well be a pedophile but his BW fanbase loves him so he's hotter than ever point blank. Don't discount the fan base :wink:

Disappearing acts was around 2000. Blade 3 was the reason he had a bunch of straight to dvds.Pissed people off and burned bridges. He had no problems with his mainstream movies until Blade Trinity. So bw arent the reasons. Although now it seems like he might be getting back into mainstream movies by 2007.

Actually, to be fair, Condoleeza Rice has/does support affirmative action as she knows that it's helped her on her way to becoming the most powerful woman in the world. She might be Bush's figurehead but she, like Colin Powell, actually have some moderate views and give credit when it is due. Clarence Thomas, whilst he is someone i admire for making it to the top from the very bottom, has been a hypocrite for virtually all his political and legal career. Affirmative action got him to the Supreme Court since George H.W. Bush wanted another black justice to replace the late Thurgood Marshall. Furthermore, it got him to so many places such as Yale and Assistant Attorney General of Missouri state. For him then to take a complete 180 in the space of some time is ridiculous. That is the difference.

Also, i think its black people in general who hate Thomas and not just black women.
