As I predicted last week on another forum...the Demos won the House. They also apparently won control of the Senate as I predicted (depends on final outcome in VA). Now it's time for the Demos to start kickin' some ass. Do you hear me Pelosi???? Let's get the troops back home from Iraq & Afghanistan as soon as feasibly possible!!!!! BTW, I was disappointed that Harold Ford didn't get elected Senator from Tenn. But, I feel strongly that his race was a big part of his loss. Shame on the voters there. The Kid Rasta 8)
Jim Webb beat that damn George Allen here in VA for the senate race. Let's go, democrats, let's go...
It's a cryin' shame that Harold Ford didn't win in Tenn. I think that racism played a decisive factor, cause he ran a perfect campaign. Plus, he has far more experience than the 'Corksoaker' that won. BTW, Corksoaker (his opponent) stated that Harold Ford was way better looking than him. That is the understatement of the year! But there is still a "first African-American elected governor": Deval Patrick in Massachusetts. I was wondering why everybody is talking about Harold Ford but almost nobody is talking about Deval Patrick. What's the deal with him?
The focus has been primarily on Congressional and Senate races. Gubernatorial elections seem to have taken a back seat in general. Once the dust settles from all these changes in Washington I think we'll hear more on Patrick. Especially if he messes up.
5 candidates whose defeat thrilled me (in order): 5) Conrad Burns 4) Michael Steele 3) Kenneth Blackwell 2) Kerry Healey 1) George Allen I didn't really care for the Virginia race to be very honest because both candidates are stupid, incompetent, vile, repressed S.O.Bs. Rick Santorum and Lynn Swann from Pennsylvania were pretty much done even two weeks before the elections, given that they were trailing by double digits. I wanted Harold Ford to win so bad (i guess you can say the "Call Me" ad worked to perfection :roll. Although i am very happy for Deval Patrick. After all he has been through, it's great to see him become the 1st black governor of Massachusetts and only the 2nd black governor in America. Someday, we really shall overcome.
DITTO, Brotha. Although, my list looks a bit more like this: 5) Kenneth Blackwell 4) George Allen 3) Rick Santorum 2) Rick Santorum 1) RICK SANTORUM
Oh yeah.......... Thanks for the correction, Silver. I've always forgotten that guy like forever. I only happen to remember Wilder.
I know where Wilder works, and I should know, since I'm right here in the city/state where he works and resides anyway.
It would be too hard to get a hold of him, furthermore, I was just making further conversation in the discussion.
