I'm not saying we don't, but all you hear when it comes to BM or Black folks in general, is light and dark.

 

Well brown skin is mixed in with dark skin just like peanut butter dudes are light skin

 

I see people do that, but I personally differentiate them.

Bullshit. A happy woman equals a happy home. She will remain faithful to you and you will be sure that all of her children are in fact yours. The first one is the black vampire in Twilight (not that I actually watched the movie), but he looks extremely similar to my last longterm boyfriend, except that he is even darker with a red undertone (like dark mahogany) - I can only imagine because of some Native American blood (given his bone structure).

The second one is of course the great Sidney Poitier who is in my mind one of the finest gentlemen anywhere, ever. He crafted himself into one of the legends of American screen because of his charisma, graciousness, and dignity. If I could have pick my parents, they would have been Sidney Poitier and Julie Andrews.

The third (and fourth) is a beautiful, spiritual man who happens to be a model... Someone whom I am talking to to at the moment and will most likely meet in the very near future.

Now tell me that dark black isn't the most beautiful thing you've ever seen! I've dated medium-brown men, but am in awe over lovely dark-skinned men.

Petty was just joking. He knows damn well that a man has got to please his woman or else someone else will. These are no longer the 1800's we are living in. Orgasms are the joy of life for a woman and any man that thinks this is not important had better make sure that his woman hates sex and enjoys faking orgasms. I for one, can't live like that. I ain't faking shit so he (my man) has to bring it for real.

I need to learn to be more like you, Tam. Just a little bit too willing to please, until you realize his NOT pleasing you (and lack of interest in doing so) is becoming a bit of a nasty trend.
