BBC Mini series Dancing on the Edge is set in the early 1930s and follows black jazz musicians, the Louis Lester Band, as they find fame amongst the parties and performances of London's upper class society.

If you're down in Dade, check out Churchill's on NE 2nd Ave or the Playwright on the beach. They both show British tv, football and the like.

It will probably be on PBS or BBC America some time later this year if you can't see it on BBC2 UK

My brother has satellite television. I will be watching it when it comes on. I prefer digital cable though. But, this is what the building association wants every resident to have.

This has to be one of the more perplexing UK-based series I've seen in a minute. I really liked the scenery and the sense this could be true, but that's about it. The acting ranged from decent to terrible, and the plot... omg the plot is loopy as fuck. I just finished watching the sixth 'special' episode. If you have any idea what's going on by the end of this, please, enlighten me.

I'm not a pub/bar person. I don't go out much. But, I will see the show.

When I get back on my feet, I will buy the DVD set. I had seen one show. It reminded me a little of the film Velvet Goldmine, but with a straight and black twist.

When I get it I look forward of seeing it and not 'binge watching'.

Dave, the British ex-pat owner, just announced he's found a buyer for the bar. If the deal goes through, hopefully the owner will keep it as a venue for English football and alternative music and jazz. If not, it's the Playwright or somewhere else.
