How horrible that the bullies father not only excused his kids actions but agreed with them. People like that aren't fit to parent. Anyone who raises their kids to have hate in their hearts is a horrible, horrible person imo. Clearly even his employer decided that type of man isn't deserving of a job at their company. Good for them.

And of course, the father who said "nigger lover" got fired from his job. So, again....free speech at its finest and the reality behind it.

As much as people like that racist father disgust me, I'm not sure that him getting fired helped improve things.

Believe me, I'm not crying for that asshole, but I always wonder what helps race relations more, critiquing those views publicly and debunking them or demanding that they be sanctioned.

May not help improve things but I certainly don't feel for him. He's a hateful person, zero tolerance IMO.

Trust me, I'm not shedding any tears, but I am always torn between wanting to punish a-holes like that, and wanting to redouble my efforts to eradicate racism.

Firing him is not the answer...until people practice what they preach and stop using the N word they are no better than this guy

Taking away the ability to provide for his family is going too far...set him straight and shame him is one thing...willing harm to someone is not better than what he did originally

Unfortunately, parents instill the commandment to "Honor your mother and father." The kids become unwitting accomplices to their parent's fears and paranoia. They are taught to hate because the parents say so by commandment of God. If they do not obey, they disobey the word of God. The children become victims. I believe that some people should not be parents if they have hate in their hearts.

I absolutely agree. Our job as parents is to instill morals and values in our kids, not to push our hate and fears onto them. So sad when children truly are the victims of their own parents.

Most businesses these days have a code of conduct clause written into contracts to guard against any action taken by an employee in or outside of work that may harm the companies reputation.

You often see things like this
This is just the reality of the information age world we live in with things such as social media, smart phones and 24 hour new cycles.

People can always sue their employers for wrongful dismissal but the truth is most people don't read the small print in contracts when they are hired.

Agreed but you have to also make it know certain behavior isn't tolerable for two reasons. You have a company image to protect and God forbid he has an altercation with a black staff or customer then there is proof he is a known racist and that makes you liable. Easier to get rid of him. And it's the reality of our world now, keep your horseshit to yourself or suffer the consequences. No such thing as privacy anymore.

Look at the film The Big Country with Gregory Peck, Burl Ives(he won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor), Charleton Heston, Jean Simmons and Chuck Connors. The subplot of a family feud over water rights was very effectively shown in the film as well as the fish out of water subplot with Gregory Peck's character. The hatred was so thick that whatever actions that were taken, no one got in the way and it affected all around the two families.

the problem is when the parent has no morals and foul values.
