But on the one hand it is extremely positive to note that for all that money the romneys and roves of the world could not buy the White House.
Which means that in a sense..the democratic voice of the people is still listened to through votes and not everyone is a me and mine kind of person.

We could not have kept that attitude and successfully built a nation (tho the dark side is we did keep that attitude in regards to people of different race and color...Africans and native Americans) and the reason some much is failing now is because we have be come by and large a bratty and entitled society which overlooks the struggles of the less fortunate among us.

For all their bible based beliefs..it's almost as if the Christian Right has completely forgot that everything they stand for now is what Jesus rebelled against when he came to liberate the prison of the mind.

    Proverbs 29:7
The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.

And since the bible is full of double entendre..
This of course has to do with more than just monetary poor.

The evangelicals,Mormons and other conservative "christians" do not care about the poor only for the rich.

That's a ridiculous statement. You guys make the same generalizing statements that you blame the Republicans for doing.

I'm a conservative Christian and we delivered two boxes of food to our local church for Thanksgiving dinner for underprivileged families. Stop with the lies that all Republicans are rich, self serving white people.

That is wonderful, James.:smt049 Keep doing what you do and don't let the pig's snort deter you since it has never delivered boxes of food to the poor in its whole damn life. :smt015

    You rock, Mr. Wilson! :smt023

And how pray tell me would you know what I've done in my whole damn life?

Still waiting for some kind of answer on that.

And tbh...I pulled some really choice cards to reply back to you with.

    But on second thought...
I'm going to give you this instead. And wish you some kind of well. And then put you and your nastiness straight out of my life. Because misery surely loves company but you surely won't get mine.

    The Four Immeasurables

May all sentient beings have happiness and its causes

May all sentient beings be free of suffering and its causes

May all sentient beings not be separated from sorrowless bliss

May all sentient beings abide in equanimity, free of bias, attachment and anger

I completely agree that this a ridiculous statement....I for one am a Christian and am very offended by this. We have so much homeless on our streets here and every chance I get, I give to them to help them. I would give my last dollar if someone needed it. To generalize a group of people because they don't fit your standards is what is ridiculous!

I agree with you and the others about how ridiculous that statement is...it's so dangerous to just combine an entire group of people (like half the nation) in that category.

Mr. wilson...you are a true christian. the problem is that you have the crazies hijacking your name and using it to spew hate and being intolerance. they also tolerate hate in their camp such as rush limbaugh and neil bortz and are very quick to march on taxes but silent when it comes to hate rhetoric (rush). why is that? you cant be on the fence. the bible is clear on that. why is that rush, who spew hatred, has about 25-30 million listeners (but call themselves christians)? why arent they saying and doing anything about that? they will march and get mad about taxes (which taxes is not a sin) but silent on hate speech (racist rhetoric)?

Thanks! I just don't like the extremists from either party...Republican or Democrat. I don't believe every Democrat is looking for a handout and I don't believe every Republican is some evil, wealthy person. I'm a middle income person who does support helping those less fortunate than you.

There a many of us out here who feel like you do...Problem is those attention seekers that flap their mouth in each extreme direction never seem to shut up.

Anyway, know your actions speak LOUDER than their words. :)
