I've done it just for fun and my friend made me let her do it. I didn't care who thought it was attractive or not. I think if you want to, and it's not going to hurt anyone, then that's all the reason you need. :smt023 Have fun!

I'm not a fan of braids on white people in general, i do it for a few of my friends and i seem to be fixing it all the time because their hair is so thin. it can damage your hair if you have them in for too long

Around this time 3 years ago, I had my cornrows going down the back of neck because they were long and the ladies loved them. However my hair-line began to run from my forehead and I was forced to cut them off in February of 2007. I kinda miss them and sometimes I wanna grow them back, but I realize that I'm too old for that and it was time for them to go.

Now I just rock the tapper with the 360 waves and I still look fly.:smt023

Don't like cornrows on WW or dreads, either.

I think cornrows on a ww can look really good. I think it really depends on the facial structure of the person though.

Kind of like a BM that wears a perm/conk...it's not for everyone but it is worth a try if you really want to.

Hmm, I don't know about this one, I think it depends on the individual. I think you have to have really thick hair to pull it off.

I think a few soft braids can be really pretty. I'm thinking of Joss Stone on American Idol last week when she did a duet with Smokey Robinson.

Wow, her hair was absolutely gorgeous...she had just a few braids swept back on the crown of her head. Very sexy and romantic.

    Not my thing.

I got braids at the front of my hair when I was little... like 2 inches back but the rest of my hair was normal. I like to play with my hair so it would just annoy me.

I don't like "Cornrows" on girls older than 16 years old. It looks very childish in my point of view.

    Cheers!

I like them on black girls. They don't look good on me, but a friend of mine was lovely with them, so I guess that it's a matter of facial structure like u guys say. Regular braids do look good on me though.

Men with cornrow braids r HOTTTT. Even the white ones (kinda... lol)

Rows can look equally bad on BM, BW, WM, WW. It all depends on the persons face, really.

After having worn rows for four or five years, I really don't think the damage they do to your hair is worth it.

I think white-girls that wear braids are hot as hell. I think of Bo Derek in the movie Perfect 10.

I find this really interesting because so many people talk about braids being a protective style. Locks I can see - that's different. Do you think it's really about the braids or what products people use in them? Different people do them with different things.

I just know when I do really small braids on my daughter it takes forever to get them out because of the tendency for them to try to lock. It's much easier to take twists out. I try to use natural stuff on her hair at all times....no petroleum ("grease") or mineral oils. I know that means the braids don't last as long...but to me that stuff does a lot of damage to the scalp and hair.
