Often come across some gem tid-bits, and of course others that make me SMH..

This one is definitely a gem, lol...

    BY EXECUTIVE ORDER!

It's an executive order straight from The White House - and one that House Of Cards fans holding out for new episodes are going to agree with.

As the the highly-anticipated second series of the fictional political thriller prepares to go live on Netflix at midnight, President Barack Obama is not taking any chances in having the plot spoiled.

Set to spend the night in California having dinner with King Abdullah II of Jordan, it may be sometime before Obama can sit down and 'binge watch' all 13 episodes of the dark Capitol drama.

So on Friday morning he sent out a directive from his Twitter account: 'No spoilers, please.'

The President has spoken before of his fondness for the show and was asked by Netflix CEO Reed Hastings to cameo in a future episode.

'I wish things were that ruthlessly efficient,' Obama jokes of the series.

...Washington Post TV critic Hank Stuever said the first hour of the show is critical - and that he doubts people will be able to avoid posting spoilers.

'There’s a shocking moment in the first episode where the reason for all the secrecy measures becomes painfully clear,' Stuever wrote.

'I’m not going to tell you anything about it, but I defy the Internet to keep its collective yap shut for very long.

..Netflix has faced something of a fan backlash over its release of House Of Cards this week.

As blizzards kept many people house-bound on Thursday, fans took to social media asking Netflix to release the show early.

'If/when DC shuts down for blizzard Thursday, Netflix would be smart to make new 'House of Cards' available one day early,' tweeted Alex Conant, the press secretary for Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.

However the website refused, saying it will premiere as planned at midnight on Friday.
'Hunker down and re-watch season one so you are good and ready,"' a Netflix spokesman said. :smt036

Kept hearing the show's name in the media, never even knew it was about Washington Politics (unlike Scandal with Kerry Washington, often dubbed a political series.)

Anyway, it's pretty huge for a show to get the Presidential Seal of Approval, (and so publicly at that), given his limited TV watching time. Not to mention you'd think he'd be bored of politics already, lol.
Makes me want to give it a shot now, out of curiosity.

I ignored the hype for a while. I finally gave in over the Christmas holidays and watched the first season in three days flat. Its addictive. Good thing it took me so long to watch it, since I didn't have to wait a year for the second season.
