I just love when someone who can't logically defend a position resorts to the "Freedom of Speech" tactic to try and shut someone down.

 

As I alluded earlier, there is a lot about the Civil War that is instructive about not only the years between the birth of the American republic and its occurrence, but also the subsequent evolution of our politics and social movements, plus cultural differences and divisions.

Ultimately it's more revealing of the American soul than some silly flag, folks.

 

Between what he posted in this thread and all of his ridiculous claims about white rock musicians laying foundation for rap music and other facets of black culture, it's pretty clear that he's a white guy who's here to stir up shit. I think it's really funny that he thinks he's fooling anyone about his identity. Shows what a low opinion he has of the intelligence of the people who frequent this forum.

So how do you and why would you want to discuss interracial dating and other things with people whom you obviously consider to be inferior and beneath you? The founding fathers realized that any idea, no matter how repugnant, must be allowed. It's only by allowing these ideas to be presented publicly that others can present alternate arguments to dispel and show the ideas for what they truly represent.

That is exactly what has happened here tonight. The OP utilized that freedom of speech to challenge an idea that she felt was important, the idea that the rebel flag isn't a symbol of racism. Forum members presented alternate arguments and engaged in discourse in an effort to argue their position, to persuade and to invite logical rebuttal.

In the end that goal was accomplished.

What more could you ask for. In your words, you should get over it because you saw freedom of speech at work my friend.

 

Because he's one of those men who like to "watch".
