i guess this website isn't really intended to talk about sports BUT i find it interesting no one seems to care about college football here! i guess it's because i'm from the south lol specifically the SEC but this time of year it's mostly what i like to talk about.... anyway, i'm obviously an auburn fan WAR EAGLE... no real question, just a comment lol

Hey Auburn fanatic...guess what I'm wearing right now...a purple and gold t-shirt...reminds you of something? Death valley for instance??

I spent a year at LSU in 2006, while we were forced out of New Orleans by Katrina...I am now completing my PhD here at Univ. of New Orleans, but have always been an LSU fanatic!!

I haven't seen many college football freaks on this site either, that's why I haven't really discussed that, but you're not alone!!! :)

I like college football. Unfortunatly my team (Nebraska) is going through hard times right now but otherwise this season has been crazy and fun to watch so far.

The people where I live now seem to be more interested in pro ball but having attended a Big Ten school, I'm more of a fan of college football. And because of recent events, the topics of conversation here are Sean Taylor and the Redskins. Sad stuff.

How about that KY game? Who knew they even had a football team?

I would much rather watch college sports than pro, all across the board. Personally I love college basketball, March is the best month of all!!

The BCS is the most messed up ranking system ever - this year was like the perfect storm as far as figuring out who would play for #1... I'm just glad USC won't be there.

And go LSU!! Pretty cool that Bo Pellini has left for NE but will still return to coach the LSU defense in the title game.

AAaah, now we're talking...so we're all for the Tigers...Yeaaaaaaah, it's gonna be insane, the sad thing is I left New Orleans for the cold cold North of Indiana...nooooo, I won't even be in town for that great matchup on January 7th...but anyway, I think that the Tigers will give a good ol' Louisiana butt-whipping to the Buckeyes in the Superdome!!!

As for the BS...I mean the BCS, what a joke!!! I'm glad the Tigers are in, don't get me wrong, but what a joke!!!

Full disclosure: I am only a band wagon fan for the next month. After that all allegiances revert to the status quo. But for now, Geaux Tigers!!

Hahaha, Fnnysmrtprtty, I know you are not a "real" Tiger fan, but I still like the way you wrote your "Geaux" Tigers without a typo...that earns you all my respect!!!! ALLEZ LES TIGRES!!! :)

And what exactly is that Status quo you are talking about? do you have a college team you really root for?

Well, my team would give away my location, which I would rather keep on the DL. I bet our dear, sweet, but-not-cute-when-he-pouts Lucifer could tell you...

I'm more of a pro football fan, but I'll watch college ball. I wish there was a legitimate way to settle a true national champion on the field, not have some stupid computer poll to decide who should go to the national championship game. Thank God the NFL doesn't go this route, otherwise it would choose the Colts and Patriots to go to the Super Bowl.

WELL... i'm impressed that les miles is staying at LSU- i thought for sure he was going to michigan... guess LSU found the right $$$ amount. one of the things i used to love about college football was the loyalty- money was always a part but not necessarily the only objective- seems like it's almost the same as NFL these days- with coaches- not just players. but all that aside- WAR EAGLE! we put up a good fight this year and next year LSU won't be so lucky (lol). how many games did they win in the last minute? but i guess that's just the nature of college football- especially in the SEC and no matter how much i hate it- i gotta pull for the SEC

Honestly, I am not so sure that it's only the money that made Les Miles stay at LSU...he might have realized as well, that he had a huge pool of talent, no real rival in Louisiana in terms of recruiting (in Michigan, you also have Michigan State), and finally, the job seemed to come with a "Saviour" "Messiah" "Beat Ohio State at last" requirement at Michigan and he may have thought "well, i'm in a place where ppl want me to stay, so why not stay"

Of course, money was an issue as well, but hey, loyalty to LSU (for which he is the current coach) can be also cited!!!

Now, you know, Auburnfanatic, that luck always favors those who execute well...yeah, LSU got lucky a bit here and there, but they also made the plays they needed to win these last-minute thriller...especially against Auburn...:) Sorry mate!!!

But I'm like you, I always root for the SEC no matter what!!

ok where are all the LSU fans?? ohmygosh- as much as i can't stand LSU, i was pullin 4 them last nite- very pleased that they represented the SEC like i knew they could!!! the Big 10 has nothing on the SEC!!! the only conference that i think is even close is the Big 12- maybe.... anyway, i'm sure i'm just talking to myself here, but.. i heard they(the important ppl) are considering a plus-1 for the national championship... definitely a step in the right direction :)

Man, I watched the game on my computer, streaming it...and God, I went insane sometime when the connexion stalled or slowed down...

But u are right Auburnfanatic, the Big 10 is a joke compared to the SEC...I still don't knowhow Florida lost to Michigan in their bowl game...Jeez!!

Well, we're coming to Auburn next year...and wait till u see Ryan Perrilloux run all over the smaller Tigers that u have over there!!! Hehehe!!!

CFB can't get here soon enough. I'm a Hokie fan. I live in G'ville, FL so I get to experience good SEC football live and or course catch my VA Tech Hokies on the tube. My wife loves this
